I am my mother’s daughter—
the version of her that learned not to fear the sound of her own voice.
The part of her that no longer folds itself into silence
just to keep the peace.
I carry her blood,
but I walk with the courage she once had to hide.
I am the version of her that never shy away from bullies
A piece of her lives within me,
yet I am shaped differently—
I am her reflection,
but softened in the places life was hard on her.
I am the daughter she raised carefully, Her first Daughter, people say we look alike and I say she is my Diva
She is my queen,
and I am her princess—
not just by birth,
but by the strength, grace, and fire we share.
Though Temptations may come, but God has the final say. It’s the first Sunday of Lent 2026. There is the calm aura that comes with Lenten season. Remember to be kind not only abstinence. Have a blessed week.
