WHAT IF THE NEXT GREAT AFROFUTURIST WORLD DIDN'T BEGIN IN FICTION, BUT IN A REAL YORUBA, WEST AFRICAN TOWN?

Welcome to FIDITI.
A real Yoruba town in present-day Nigeria, West Africa- reimagined centuries into the future as the commercial heartbeat of the last surviving African Kingdom.

In LAGELU: THE KINGDOM ON FOUR HILLS, history doesn’t disappear, it evolves.

Founded in Yoruba tradition on a story of rest, resilience, and beginning again, Fiditi becomes something far greater in the world of Lagelu:

A crossroads of cultures.

An engine of innovation

A centre of trade and influence.

A city capable of shaping the destiny of an entire Kingdom.

Here, ancient traditions coexist with advanced technology.

Markets become centres of strategy, wealth and influence.

And African history becomes the foundation of an imagined future.

This isn’t a future where Africa has been erased.
It is a future built because its history survived.

Did you know that the name of one of West Africa's historic cities, "Ibadan," was actually Èbà-Òdàn, meaning "At the Edge of the Meadow"?

In 1829, the legendary warrior Lagelu founded Èbà-Òdàn- a city built on strategy, strength, and resilience.

For the past six years, we have used that rich history as the foundation for an epic, high-tech sci-fi kingdom.

Our latest blog post dives deep into the true history behind the lore and reveals how 19th-century Yoruba history became the blueprint for Lagelu: The Kingdom on Four Hills.

ÈBÀ-ÒDÀN: Where History Ends… The Future Begins.

What if one of Africa’s oldest stories never truly ended?

Long before Ibadan became a West African powerhouse, there was Èbà-Òdàn ("At the Edge of the Meadow")- founded in 1829 by the legendary warrior Lagelu.

Centuries from then, an imagined Èbà-Òdàn emerges as the high-tech capital of the last surviving African empire in Lagelu: The Kingdom on Four Hills. Ruled by the Alákìtì of Lagelu, it’s a civilization that refused to disappear.

Yet beneath its glowing streets and imperial throne lie secrets powerful enough to reshape everything…

The awakening begins this October.

DID YOU THINK THE STORY WAS OVER?

Six years ago, we brought you an Afrofuturistic web series that pushed the boundaries of African storytelling- raising the bar for narrative depth, cultural authenticity, and imaginative world-building.

Six years later, we return to the kingdom that started it all.

LAGELU: THE KINGDOM ON FOUR HILLS is back!

But this time, not as a web series.
Not as a comic book.

This is the definitive experience.

An expanded Graphic Novel Edition- bigger, richer, deeper, and more immersive than ever before.

The legends you remember.
The characters you love.
The secrets you never knew.

You thought we were done.

We were only laying the foundation.

The kingdom rises again.

LAGELU: THE KINGDOM ON FOUR HILLS
The story continues...

And this time, we're just getting started.

Coming later this year. The official release date will be revealed in the months ahead. Stay ready.

This Easter, we honour the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ- proof that love conquers all.

In the silence of the tomb, it seemed like darkness had won. But Easter declares something greater: Light rises, hope returns, love conquers.

At ComicsDI, we believe every great story rises the same way, through sacrifice, courage, and rebirth.

Here’s to new beginnings, bold dreams, and legendary journeys.

2025 was an intense, defining year for all of us at ComicsDI.

It was a year of bold decisions, long nights, creative risks, and an unshakable belief in the power of storytelling. Together, we championed a new era of African motion comic urban drama, pushing boundaries and refusing to settle for the ordinary.
Was it worth it?

Without hesitation, we can say it was worth every single frame and worth all the unseen grinding behind the scenes. Every sacrifice, every redraw, every revision brought us closer to the stories we believe Africa deserves to see and feel.

This message goes out to our clients, partners, collaborators, and loyal fans. Thank you for trusting the vision, standing with us, and growing with us. You are the reason the journey matters.

As we step boldly into 2026, we wish you a year filled with clarity of purpose, creative breakthroughs, shared wins, and moments that remind you why you started. May this new year reward your courage, multiply your efforts, and open doors you never imagined.

We won’t say too much just yet… but trust us, a lot is waiting up our sleeves.

Here’s to a happy, prosperous, and powerful New Year.
Onward, together.

It’s truly been an incredible year for us at ComicsDI.

From bold ideas to global collaborations, none of it would have been possible without the unwavering support of God, our fans, clients, and partners around the world.

As we celebrate Christmas, a season rooted in love, hope, and boundless joy, we pause to give thanks and remember the true reason for the season: Jesus, and his timeless message of love, sacrifice, and compassion.

May this festive period bring peace to your homes, inspiration to your dreams, and renewed purpose for the year ahead.

From all of us at ComicsDI, we wish you a Merry Christmas and joyful holidays.
