Do you feel festive season got in the way with your skin and spots just popping every day? And we know we are supposed not to squeeze them to heal faster but it takes forever doesn't it? Well, I just got a sample of Peter Thomas Roth Acne Clear Invisible Dots. I have only been using it for the last 3 days but I can tell it really works! Best if you apply it overnight and remove it in the morning so it does not interrupt with your routine. Although, if necessary, you can wear it during the day as they are so invisible!

Overnight results: spot flattens to skin level so it is easier to apply makeup and conceal it, redness is clearly reduced and spots keep healing even after you stopped using the healing circles!

If you are planning to do New Year Party make-up or January will be the time when you are struggling with money and not able to afford those make-up items that you run out, this post will show you how make-up tools can multifunction in your daily make-up routine:

Lipstick – Use it as a blush to your cheeks or even as an eye shadow. I usually pat my foundation brush into my lipstick and then pat over my cheeks and blend it.

Cream Eye Shadow Colours – I am a lover of cream shadows and they are very practical. Only two colours are enough to make many different shades for which you would pay five times more if you were buying dry eye shadows. Buy two colours that you like – one should be a light shade (like skin or bone) and second one quite dark. Cream shadows are so easy to blend that you can achieve many shades from lightest to darkest just by using two colours.

Cream Eye Shadow Liner – If you have a dark colour cream eye shadow it can also double up as an eye liner if you have an eye liner brush. Forget a classic black eye liner - choose your dark eye shadows for a more natural look. They are also much easier to blend and diffuse the colour intensity rather than classic black eye liner which dries very fast.

Mascara – I heard this trick from Bobbi Brown and it is amazing! You can use mascara as your eye liner, just dip your eye liner brush into mascara and go! Simple but an amazing trick.

Pressed Powders – Now pressed powders come in all different colours – natural skin tones, bronze, pink shades, matte or shimmer shades. You can always use them as the eye shadows that will complement your make-up perfectly with matching colours.

Concealer for Lips – Want a more defined lip contour but you are short of lip pencil or the colour you have does not match your lipstick? Just use your concealer and apply it precisely with a concealer or an eye shadow brush all around the lips for a defined look.

Concealer for Eyes – Normally concealer should be just a little bit lighter than your base powder. Due to this it can be perfectly used under the eyebrow as a highlighter!

This post is for those of you whom 31st of August is not the last day of the summer! These products have been a number 1 for me this summer. As you may all know good make up starts with good skincare and good skin care starts with skin protection!

So here is the list of my top SPF beuties:

1. Bobbi Brown SPF 50 Protective Face Base – Normally SPF creams are quite greasy and not very attractive or luxurious to use.. So I thought until I found this one! Smell and texture are so luxurious and does not interfere with my skincare or make up routine. And since the summer just passed I can say I did not got burnt! (My skin will thank me when I am older!)

2. Bobbi Brown Lip Balm SPF 15 – This one is all year rounder, really. But it is specially great for summer with built in sun protection. It is very rich and moistening and has a soft, non irritating smell.

3. Ultrasun Daily UV Hair Protector – It was real discovery for me this summer! It protects your hair from UV rays, chlorine, salt water and free radicals. What more could you ask for??! I used it for 3 weeks everyday on holiday in NYC where temperature was 30-35C everyday. My hair felt great even with washing it everyday!

Take it or leave it? Bobbi Brown's Skin Foundation Stick
We loved this foundation, it's stick format makes it easy to take it with you anywhere without taking much space, blends incredibly well without a brush, and feels very natural.

It has proved to be very durable for us. We were impressed how it last well throughout a summer hot day. We had received comments that it hasn't last much on dry skin, we recommend you moisturise your skin very well, and avoid using your finger to get a better lasting effect.
