One of our themes during the course was what you could sum up as the dilemma between ‘SlowMo vs FOMO’ - why slowing down stays wishful thinking for most people?

Most of us want to feel as relaxed as people who actually slow down - without changing how we live. A bit like wanting to learn to swim without getting wet.

Here’s what I’ve come to understand: slowing down isn’t about pace, it’s about space. An inner landscape where things stop feeling overwhelming - where you become slow to react, living from a quieter place. Still. Present. And it’s available to all of us.

Our six-day Lomi Lomi immersions are a doorway into exactly that: reset through rest.

This time there are three to choose from, all at the Skylight Centre, London, with Dan Joy & Laura Merri:

Close to my heart: Lomi Lohi, the slow version of Lomi Lomi we practice and teach, is a genuinely neuro-native modality - it works with how the nervous system is designed to operate. We warmly welcome neurodivergent participants and people with hearing or visual impairments; we’ve witnessed profound breakthroughs, and this work tends to meet difference beautifully rather than just accommodate it.

No pre-qualifications, and you leave with an insurable certificate to practise.

16 places per course - early-bird £725 for the first 6, then £850.

And one more thing - if you’ve been told off your whole life for being too slow… here you’re going to rule. And we’ll celebrate you. 😉

With an unusual curve, the Slow & Aware team will enter into a COMPETITION :-)

Well, of course, on our end, the real challenge will most likely be just the usual invitation: to stay slow and aware of our bodies... holding space for the recipient to have an experience of embodied safety.

So from that perspective - nothing special.

From another perspective, Laura and Dan will represent the community at the World Massage Championship, so whatever we embody during the last weekend in Copenhagen will be assessed by the recipients and judges, based on the usual criteria of the WMC.
