Shear Perfection

So, I thought I’d give the products I got on my curly hair course a proper try on my own hair… and scrunch dry it to see how they performed.

I’ve got to say… I absolutely love them! 😍 My curls feel so much more defined, softer, and less frizzy. Safe to say I’ll be using these again!

A fresh T-section of highlights to brighten things up, and I also got to practise styling naturally curly hair using the new techniques I learnt on my recent curly hair course. I love how the curls turned out! 🩷

On Monday I completed a curly hair cutting and styling course, and I absolutely loved it! 💛

I love investing in courses to keep my skills up to date and learn new techniques that I can bring back to my clients.

During the course I learnt two different cutting methods:
✂️ A wet cutting technique, which creates a shape that works beautifully whether you wear your hair curly or like to straighten it occasionally.
✂️ A dry curl-by-curl cutting technique, where each curl is cut individually to enhance the natural curl pattern and create a personalised shape.

Curly hair is so unique, and no two heads of curls are the same. Learning more about how to cut and style curls properly means I can offer even better results for my curly-haired clients.

I’m looking forward to putting these new techniques into practice! 💕✨

A little appreciation post for my beautiful nails 💅✨

As a lot of you know, I normally can’t have my nails done because I’m allergic to gel. However, my amazing cousin has been doing my nails for over a year now using HEMA-free gel, and they always look incredible and last so well!

Natalie puts so much time, care, and attention into every set she creates, and you can truly see how much she loves what she does. I’m so grateful to have found something that works for me, and I always leave with nails that I absolutely love. ❤️

✨ Two big transformations last week! ✨

I love it when my clients are ready for a change! 💇‍♀️

My first client decided to embrace her natural grey, so we went for a gorgeous, funky bob to remove as much of the old colour as possible. It’s the perfect first step in her grey-growing journey, and I absolutely love how fresh and stylish it looks!

Then my next client took the plunge and swapped her blonde highlights for this stunning, rich auburn shade. ❤️🍂 What a transformation!

Two completely different looks, but both left the salon feeling amazing – and that’s what I love most about my job.
