Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that uses tiny, sterile needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. These trigger the skin’s natural healing response, increasing collagen and elastin production over time. It’s commonly used to improve:

* Acne scars
* Enlarged pores (to a modest degree)
* Uneven skin texture
* Mild hyperpigmentation (with caution, especially in darker skin tones)
* Stretch marks (results tend to be more modest)

How well does it work?

The evidence is strongest for:

* Acne scars: Multiple sessions can produce noticeable improvement, especially for rolling and shallow boxcar scars.
* Skin texture and fine lines: Many people see smoother, firmer skin after a series of treatments.
