Deconstructing success is the most confusing thing I’ve done in my career and my life because it’s set that oh but you are “worth” more money, you deserve more “money” blah blah
And yes while I understand we need to make money because we live in a capitalist society where it’s the very thing that puts a roof over our head, food on our plate but at what point does money become evil.
For the longest time. I chased more and more and more and felt less connected to people, the ground and my body.
So what changed?
The move of location, the speed this year has moved and the pain I’m seeing across the world.
Makes me want to slow down and made me realised that the most important things for me are friendship, love and tribes.
I want space to fall in love with someone.
I want space to be there for people.
I want space to show up for yous.
I want to grow as a person and not just continue running for something that has been installed into my subconscious that will “bring” me something.
The more you have the more you have to loose and I’d rather have time.
Not the kind of time that becomes “free” because I’ve made a million sales in passive income.
Just time that doesn’t require a dollar bill in front of it.
I hope this opens a door for new conversations with people who also feel the same way
We focus so much of our time on the external wants of how hair “should and shouldn’t Look” that we forget about hair health and intention behind styling.

In my feels today, feeling grateful, sadness, happiness, openness.
Things in my mind and a reminder that I’m also human. Regardless of what I seem to have or don’t have.
My core being is love, just wrapped up in a little wall that I’m slowly breaking down
Every head of hair had a requirement that we MUST understand, before a clients wants. We must focus on what we can and cannot do with the canvas we have.
This allows us to be involved and intentional with how the hair looks for months to come.
The thought process around curly hair isn’t a guessing game, it’s a series of doors opened to allow decisions to be made.
Learning the process before any scissors/products are picked up.
Intentional -
Communication through a consultation has been the biggest tool for learning people, how they see themselves, how they speak about themselves and what we as professionals can do to help.

Mental health post -
This year I’ve been facing more demons than I’ve cared to admit, while I’ve continued to put a smile on my face and say I’m fine.
And in exercise of gratitude. I am 🩵
A roof over my head, food on my plate, health and the ability to wake up everyday and choose to get up.
I’ve had to exercise the practice of discipline so much more recently, I do not want to get up, but I do.
I do not want to eat anything but I do.
I do not want to work out but I have.
I do not want to practice mindfulness but I have.
The physical side of this video is the very tip of a deep dark ocean, the battles silently faced and a reminder that in those moments of darkness are the beginnings of light.
Sharing vulnerability on the internet where anyone and everyone can say anything isn’t for everyone, nor do I wish it on people to want to receive the negative side of the internet however I was told once , that being vulnerable, being honest and showing up in whatever way you can.
Helps one person feel less alone in their own life. So I do it for you. I do it for us. I do it for me.
