Mo came in lacking confidence. Not trusting the ankle in positions. We soon exposed areas that had been bypassed with a rushed rehab.

My rules are simple:
1. Force the area to take the load it’s been avoiding
2. Integrate the improvement with the entire chain
3. Ensure rehab is completed to the end - the end is specific to the individual

That shake isn’t your body failing. It’s your body finally being asked to work.

This is the Copenhagen Iso — one of the most underused exercises in rehab, and one of the most effective for adductor strength. Most people (and most trainers) see shaking under load and pull back immediately. We don’t. When a tissue shakes, it’s switching on, not breaking down. Avoided tissue only gets stronger by being forced to load in exactly the range it’s been avoiding.

Your adductors control how your knee behaves under fatigue and injuries don’t happen at rep one, they happen when muscles like this give out and something else has to compensate.

We test this exact quality - strength and fatigue tolerance as part of our 360 Assessment. If you’ve had a groin or knee injury before, there’s a good chance this was never checked.

Busy week at the clinic. Loads of client progression across the board - and this week’s round-up shows the range.

From adductor loading nobody else programmes (Copenhagen’s) to instability work that forces real glute activation (foam roller bridge), to the small detail that changes push-off power (big toe biased calf raises) — every exercise here earns its place in the plan.

This is what week-to-week progression actually looks like. Not random exercises. A structured build toward getting back to running, jumping, and moving without limitation.

Data, not guesswork.

This is “Week 0” for our online marathon client, Darren. Before building his 12-week plan, he traveled to our Manchester clinic to run a full test battery.

Here’s the data we’re capturing:

- Mid Thigh Pull: Max strength baseline.
- SL Calf Raise: Pinpoints calf strength & imbalances.
- CMJ: Measures total leg power.
- Double Leg Hops: Tests repetitive, reactive strength.
- Drop Jumps: Measures shock absorption & reactivity.
- Adductor/Abductor: Finds hidden hip & groin weakness.
- Soleus ISO: Tests the endurance of this key running muscle.

This data is the blueprint for his online program. No guessing.

6 months post-ACL. NHS says you’re “good to run.”

But you still don’t trust your knee.

Here’s the problem, most people return to sport with zero objective data on their strength, power, or landing mechanics. They’re going off how they feel, not what’s actually true.

Great time in Dublin with Dave O’Sullivan doing our quarterly strategy catch-up. Loads of good insights and a bit of clarity in terms of the next steps where the clinic is going.

Here is a bit of a weekly round-up with me from Dublin and Exercises and rehab extras in the week:

1. Here’s the fit and I know everyone is used to seeing me in professional work attire but
