Today, I exchange contracts on my very own home. 🏡❤️

I honestly don’t think I have ever felt more grateful. I complete next Wednesday, and this house will become a safe and secure home for me and my family.

18 months ago, I was asked to leave my rented home because the owners were selling it. I promised myself there and then that I would never allow myself to be in that position again. I set myself the biggest goal of my life—and today, I achieved it.

The last 18 months have been some of the hardest of my life, but I kept going. I worked, saved, stayed focused and refused to give up.

I am now five and a half years sober, and I know with absolute certainty that I could never have achieved this when I was drinking. Sobriety has given me the strength, stability and determination to completely change my life.

Today, more than anything, I feel so grateful. Grateful for my sobriety, grateful for the strength to keep going, grateful for the lessons I have learned and grateful for every person who has supported me along the way. I am grateful for how far I have come and for the opportunity to give my family a safe, secure home for our family 🙏

This is without doubt the biggest achievement of my life (other than getting sober ⭐️) and I feel so blessed and excited for the next chapter 🏡🔑✨
