Sis, let’s reject the belief that you have to be “GOOD ENOUGH” before you deserve to belong.

I stepped into CrossFit with no idea what I was setting myself up for. I had to be okay with being the slow one; the last one to finish the workout. Being slow didn’t mean I didn’t belong. It meant I had the courage to show up, start from a weak point, and grow.

Now, I’m a beast with a barbel !

If you don’t find the courage to step into the room, sign up for the race, or start the journey etc how will you ever know what you’re capable of?

So many of us are stuck hoping and wishing our lives will change. Babe,

* Show up despite the fear.
* Be okay with being a beginner.
* Be vulnerable enough to learn, make mistakes, and embarrass yourself.

The room is where growth happens. If you never step into it, how will you transform?

Get into that bloody room, sis. Have the audacity to walk in with your incompetence and a willingness to learn. That’s where everything starts.

Thick thigh baddie - Wear the damn shorts.

Last year I bought one pair of shorts. It took a lot of convincing from Meg for me to order them. As confident as I am, I never had the confidence to wear shorts; I’ve always felt like they look weird on me.

Thanks to my gym besties - this year I have skorts and shorts in rotation for my workouts.

This is your sign to Wear the damn shorts girl!!! Add a little chub rub chaffing cream and you are good to go.

😂😂. Building stronger backs and stronger knees. The 30+ girlies are in now fully involved in investing in their mobility, strength and joint health.

Sometimes it’s not just a training session - it’s a battle.

Every woman you see in the gym is fighting something.

Some are battling self doubt
Some are battling heart ache
Some are reclaiming their health.
Some are fighting for their sanity.
Some are fighting to become their best version.
Some are fighting to look as good as f*ck.

One things that’s for sure is that when I link up with my CrossFit Southampton girlies - we fight together one rep at a time.

We don’t compare. We inspire.

Life will life. Don’t be so quick to tell yourself that you have fallen off the wagon.

Sometimes it’s just the twists and turns of life. It’s not a reason to spiral out of control.

Beating yourself up and negatively talking to yourself will only result in you spirally even more. Self compassion and grace speaks to your humanity and it will make it easier to get back on track.

You don’t have to do the most.

Momentum is everything.

Big Girl Lifts are our specialty.
Thank you. That’s all I needed to hear to get me into the gym.

I wasn’t feeling it. I haven’t been feeling it but we don’t follow the mood. If I had followed the mood I would have not unlocked some big lifts. I would have missed the opportunity to see just how far I’ve come with training.

Back Squat - 100kgs
Strict Press - 40kgs
Deadlift - 130kgs

Why did I do this you ask? I happen to enjoy the torture. Will I do it again - Hell Yes.

All the girls chasing strong… come to the front. 🤏🏾

I spent most of my 20’s chasing skinny.
I actually believed that was the goal. I believed that, if I could just become smaller, I’d finally feel confident. Happy. Worthy.

I thought losing weight and being skinny was the answer to all the things I struggled with internally.

Funny enough… I was the most insecure in the body on the left.

Now at 35, I choose to chase strong.

I’m building a stronger body for my future. A body that can carry me through life, support me, challenge me, and keep showing up for me.

This is the most confident I’ve ever been in my life.

This confidence didn’t come from shrinking myself. It came from discovering what my body is capable of. You are a bad ass if you can lift a bar above your head and squat below parallel. That’s a bad b move.

If I’m honest… There is something so powerful about becoming a woman who stops obsessing over taking up less space … and starts showing up and showing out loud and proud as she is instead.
