💙 In Loving Memory of Barrie 💙

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news that our founder, colleague and dear friend Barrie, passed away peacefully.

For over 50 years, Barrie dedicated his life to hairdressing, caring for clients throughout Denton, Gorton, Reddish, Burnley, Manchester and Hyde. He wasn't just an incredible hairdresser—he was a mentor, a friend, and a familiar face who brought smiles, laughter and kindness to everyone he met.

Thousands of clients have sat in Barrie's chair over the years, and so many have become lifelong friends. His passion for our industry and the salon he helped build will never be forgotten.

We invite anyone who would like to pay their respects to join us as Barrie's funeral cortege leaves The Leading Edge Hair & Beauty at 2:00pm on Tuesday 4th August, before the service at Dukinfield Crematorium at 2:40pm.

The wake will be held afterwards at The Joshua Bradley.

Thank you to everyone who has sent kind messages and shared memories. They have brought great comfort to Barrie's family and all of us at The Leading Edge.

Rest peacefully, Barrie.
You will always be part of our salon family and will never be forgotten. ❤️
