From carefully sourcing the products we believe in, creating our menu from the ground up and building relationships with amazing local suppliers wholich we’ve had since opening our doors 6 months ago to creating a welcoming space where coffee, nourishing food, movement and community come together — every part of Hygieia has been built with so much thought, care and heart.

There may be plenty of places to grab a coffee, but there is only one Hygieia & Co ✨

I realised I’ve never properly introduced myself… so hi! I’m Danielle, the owner and director of Hygieia & Co.

Before opening the lounge, I spent 23 years working in family law, most recently in a senior role for a national corporate law firm. It was a demanding career that gave me the privilege of helping people through some of the most difficult times in their lives, but I eventually realised there was very little work-life balance.
Alongside my full-time career, I started a catering and baking business in 2020. I then discovered açai bowls and began doing pop-ups at local gyms. What started as a passion project soon grew into something much bigger.

Fast forward to today, and here we are with Hygieia & Co – our coffee and health lounge – alongside Hygieia The Cove, our fitness studio located within the courtyard. Creating a space where people can move their bodies, nourish themselves and connect with others has always been the dream.

I’m married to my Phil, who you’ll often spot helping out on Saturdays, and we have two amazing daughters aged 23 (yes, really! 😂) and 13.

When I’m not at the lounge, you’ll usually find me walking our cocker spaniel, Honey, in the gym or spending time with my loved ones.

Whilst I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built, I certainly haven’t done it alone. We have an amazing team who work incredibly hard every single day, and I’m so grateful. They’re a huge part of what makes Hygieia & Co such a welcoming place.
