The second I started picking apart my own work and admitting it could be better… I got better.
Not because my work was bad because I stopped being satisfied with “good enough”.
The tiny details I used to overlook became the things I obsessed over. Structure. Cuticle work. Product placement. How the nail looked from EVERY angle.
You don’t improve by convincing yourself your work is perfect. You improve by being able to spot exactly where it isn’t.
And then knowing how to fix it.
If you’re THAT nail tech too, DM me DETAIL. I’ll show you exactly what I teach inside The Detail Edit. 👀🎓

Being an educator doesn’t mean I look at every set I do and think MINT, next. 😂
I actually think being able to pick apart your own work is one of the reasons you get good at it.
This set for example.
Love the shape. Love how thin they are. Love the cuticle work.
But I don’t love that the colour looks like it stops before the cuticle.
There is hard gel there, and my application is🤌🏼 (if i do say so myself🤣) I’ve just thinned it right down so I can get close without creating bulk, and this particular shade because it’s so light, goes super sheer when applied that thin.
Could I just apply it thicker? Yep.
Do I want a chunky cuticle area (that will also present with its own issues later) for the sake of making the colour opaque? Absolutely not. 😂
Anyways since this set I’ve bought a milky top coat by Gel Nail Products for Professional Nail Technicians | UK instead.
Tiny problem. Tiny adjustment. And in turn better result next time.
I think THAT is what improving your work actually looks like.
The DETAIL is in knowing what to change, without compromising something else to fix it.
And that’s exactly what I teach inside The Detail Edit. Not just how to recreate my work, but how to understand what you’re looking at, WHY it’s happening and what to actually do about it.
If you’re constantly looking at your finished sets thinking “something still isn’t quite right” but you can’t put your finger on what it is…
DM me DETAIL.
Let’s get your work looking as expensive as you know it could. 🤌🏼
Wow I’ve rambled 🤣 so much love if your still reading up to this point # # #
Dalmatian or dragon fruit ?? Let me know what you think…
Mum’s nails were back in the hot seat today and aside from some light dry skin from picking, they were MUCH better this time around… we managed to clean them up real nice and bring this new set to life 🫶🏻
If you’re a nail tech wondering how I get my manicures this crispy clean, message me DETAIL 👀
These are the exact techniques I teach inside my online training also linked in my bio!! 🎓

I’ve noticed the nail techs who find my page usually have one thing in common… you like nails that look EXPENSIVE.
Well, me too. You’ve found the right side of Instagram 😇
We notice the tiny details everyone else scrolls past. And I KNOW you see them too.
If you’re still reading, I am confident I was right. You’re THAT nail tech. Follow me, you’re going to like it here. 😘
And if you’re ready to work on those details instead of just obsessing over them, DM me “DETAIL” and I’ll show you exactly what I teach 👀🎓

Want to know what makes me irrationally happy? 😂
A CRISP free edge. Perfectly polished skin. Colour sitting so close it looks like it’s grown out of the cuticle. I don’t want to produce “nice” nails I want them to look EXPENSIVE.
And usually it’s the tiniest details that make the biggest difference 👀
Here are 4 I’m absolutely obsessive about.
Save this and steal them for your next set x
You know when you watch someone work and think… okay but HOW are they getting it that clean? 👀 (especially when they start with battered nails like my mum)
That’s exactly why I started making more content like this.
Because the tiny details that you’re tempted to skip? They’re usually the difference between work that looks fine and work that looks EXPENSIVE!!!!
And once you actually understand why you’re doing each step, rather than just copying what you’ve seen someone else do on insta… everything starts to click.
I’ve got sooo much more of this coming 🤌🏼🤌🏼
So if you’re a nail tech who’s obsessed with getting cleaner, more polished results you’re definitely in the right place.
Follow along, we’re getting into ALL of it x
For all of the goodness-

Apparently we’re supposed to want success… just not too much of it 👀
I want the money. I want the freedom. I want the recognition. And I want to build something f*cking huge.
There, I said it x
