I might not be the aesthetic practitioner for you.
And I’m completely okay with that.
If you want someone who will sell you a treatment you don’t really need…
I’m not for you.
If you want someone who will tell you the downtime is “nothing” when I know you might be swollen, bruised, hiding behind sunglasses and questioning every decision you’ve ever made for a few days…
I’m probably not for you.
If you want someone who will happily add a little more…
and then a little more…
simply because more product means more money in my pocket…
I’m definitely not for you.
If you want someone who will bend the rules, skip the boring bits or ignore the protocols that are there to keep you safe because they’re inconvenient…
Please don’t choose me.
Because there are certain things I’m just not willing to compromise on.
Even if it costs me a booking.
Even if it means saying no.
Even if you leave disappointed because I wouldn’t do what you asked me to do.
I can live with that.
What I couldn’t live with is knowing I put profit before the person sitting in my chair.
Because when you trust me with your face, your skin and your health, I take that trust incredibly seriously.
You’re not a syringe to me.
You’re not a treatment package.
You’re not a before-and-after photograph.
And you’re certainly not a number on a monthly sales target.
You’re a person.
A person who deserves the truth about what a treatment can achieve.
The truth about the downtime.
The truth about the risks.
And sometimes…
the truth that you don’t need anything at all.
I will always choose what I believe is right for you over what is financially better for me.
I will always choose your safety over convenience.
And I would rather send you home untreated than do something I don’t believe is in your best interest.
So yes…
Maybe I’m not for you.
But…
If you want someone who will genuinely care about you…
Someone who will tell you the truth, even when the truth doesn’t make me any money…
Someone who will protect your face rather than profit from your insecurities…
And someone who will always, always act in your best interest…
Then maybe I am. 🤍

It might be for you if you keep pulling your jawline backwards in the mirror thinking:
“THERE. THAT.”
We know.
Everybody does it.
Please stop before someone walks into the bathroom and sees you.
“I just want what’s best for you…”
Me, when a brand-new client books in for the first time and walks through the door thinking:
“Right… I hope I’ve chosen the right person.”
Meanwhile, I’m thinking:
“I hope you know I’m about to ask you approximately 47 questions before I recommend anything.”
Because your first appointment with us isn’t about walking in and being told what treatment you need.
It’s about getting to know you.
What you like.
What you don’t like.
What’s bothering you.
What you’d love to change.
And, importantly, what I think is actually worth doing.
You might come in thinking you need one thing and leave with a completely different plan.
You might be told to wait.
You might be told you don’t need anything at all.
And yes, I might gently talk you out of something you’ve seen on TikTok.
Because when you’re trusting someone with your face for the first time, you want someone who is thinking about what’s best for you, not what they can sell you.
So if you’ve been thinking about booking but feeling a little nervous about that first appointment…

The brief was simple: hydration. Not volume.
She didn’t want bigger lips. She didn’t want a different shape. She just wanted her lips to feel and look a little more hydrated and refreshed.
And that’s exactly what we aimed for.
No overfilling. No changing her features. Just a subtle treatment to support what was already there.
And honestly?
We nailed it.
Because aesthetic treatments don’t always need to be about doing more.
Sometimes, it’s about knowing when enough is enough.

“I’ve been injecting for 8 years and I’ve NEVER had a complication.”
Oh.
How lovely.
And I’ve been driving for years and never been in a crash.
Doesn’t mean I’ve removed the fu***ng airbags!
Because whenever I hear:
“I don’t really get complications.”
I immediately think one of three things:
1:You’re the Messiah.
2:You’ve somehow discovered a technique unavailable to modern medicine.
Or…
3: you’re not recognising them.
Because complications do not give a single s**t about your Instagram following.
They don’t check whether you’ve got “ADVANCED” in your bio.
They don’t see your wall of certificates and go:
“Sorry girls, wrong clinic. She did the masterclass.”
They can happen.
Even when you’re experienced.
Even when you’re careful.
Even when you’ve done everything properly.
That’s why we ASSESS.
That’s why we CONSENT.
That’s why we know our anatomy.
That’s why we have protocols.
That’s why we prepare for problems we sincerely hope never happen.
But somewhere in aesthetics, admitting you’ve managed a complication became the equivalent of announcing:
“Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know I inject with my eyes closed x”
When actually?
I’m far more interested in how you recognised it and what you did next.
Because “I’ve never had a complication” isn’t automatically the flex people think it is.
Imagine a pilot saying:
“I don’t believe in emergency procedures.”
Sorry?
“Never crashed, hun ❤”
GET ME OFF THE PLANE!
Or a restaurant:
“We don’t keep a fire extinguisher because our chef is really experienced.”
Brilliant.
I’ll have the crème brûlée and an ambulance on standby.
Good practitioners don’t walk around terrified of complications.
But they also don’t behave like complications are mythical creatures that only visit injectors they don’t like on Instagram.
Competence isn’t: “Nothing will ever go wrong.”
Competence is: “I know what I’m looking for, I’m prepared, and I know what to do if something does.”
Anyway.
If you’ve injected 40,000 faces, never seen a single adverse event and believe your hands have been personally blessed by the filler gods…
Congratulations.
Please submit yourself for scientific research immediately.

DOES IT HURT?
Well 😬
We’re not going to lie and call it “a relaxing warming sensation” while you reconsider every decision that brought you here.
You may feel heat, prickling or stinging depending on treatment intensity.
Lighter treatments can be very manageable.
Stronger treatments are… well...stronger.
We’ll discuss comfort properly beforehand.
Because “beauty is pain” is not a clinical protocol.
“AGE NATURALLY.”
As if looking after yourself is a crime. 😂
Listen, if you want to age completely naturally — you do you, babe.
Genuinely. Your face, your choice.
But if I fancy a little tweak here, a skin treatment there, something that makes me feel fresher, more confident and a bit more like the version of me I see in my head…
Why does that bother you? 👀
Aesthetics doesn’t have to mean changing your face.
It doesn’t have to mean looking younger at all costs.
And it certainly doesn’t have to mean looking like someone else.
Sometimes it’s simply about looking well, feeling good and still looking completely like YOU.
So to anyone shouting “JUST AGE NATURALLY!” from the sidelines…

The question everyone asks immediately after:

The deeply irritating answer is:
It depends 🤷🏻♀️
We can tailor treatment intensity depending on your skin, goals and how socially unavailable you’re prepared to become.
Light treatment = lighter recovery.
Stronger treatment = more obvious recovery.
There is, regrettably, no “absolutely annihilate my wrinkles but I’ve got dinner at Wynyard at 7” setting.
