Why does my hair go yellow?

A question I get regularly & something I will always explain the reason why when you’re in my chair.

There are some exceptions to when someone can be lightened to white BUT NOT MANY! When hair is lightened to white, not only every pigment has been removed but the structure of the hair shaft has been compromised. Your hair will begin to snap, break off and look absolute garbage.

Why our hair changes as we get our older…

Our aging hair doesn’t become ‘bad hair’ it’s just different.

In exactly the same way as we adapt our skincare as we age, we need to adapt our hair care & be open to explore new ways of managing it.

I had the audacity to say this…

If your hairdresser says they won’t do something there will usually be a reason why.

If they can explain why then even better!

How to look after your blonde hair in the summer 🌞

• By rinsing your hair with cold water before swimming in a chlorinated pool will reduce how much chlorine your hair absorbs 💦

• Applying a product with UV protection in will help prevent any sun damage 🌞

• Using a moisturising mask more often will help add moisture back into the hair 💆‍♀️

• Sun, sea & swimming pools will all have an impact on the tone of your blonde. Maintaining it with a toner will help keep your hair looking fresh 🙌
