Another brilliant week at our Junior Hairdressing Academy! 💕

This week the girls started learning how to curl hair using straighteners — a technique that can be a lot trickier than it looks! 😍

We started with clean, neat sectioning before learning how to turn and glide the straighteners to create beautiful curls.

Next, we moved onto pin curls, showing the girls how pinning each curl while it cools helps it set and hold its shape for much longer. 🙌✨

These are fantastic foundation skills that will help the girls as we move onto more advanced curling and styling techniques.

We absolutely LOVE watching their confidence grow each week. They listened, practised and created some fab results! 🥰

💇‍♀️✨ LOOK WHAT OUR JUNIOR HAIRDRESSERS HAVE BEEN LEARNING! ✨💇‍♀️

This week at our Junior Hairdressing Academy, the girls took on the challenge of learning French Twists — and WOW, they absolutely smashed it! 😍👏

We started by learning the “scaffolding” technique, using bobby pins to create a strong and secure base for the twist.

From there, we worked on:

✨ Sectioning the hair
💕 Backcombing for shape and volume
📌 Correct bobby pin placement
💇‍♀️ Creating and securing the French Twist
🙌 Building confidence with more advanced styling techniques

I did warn the girls that a French Twist is actually quite an advanced hairstyle and that the main focus of the session was simply to improve their bobby pin placement…

Well, they certainly proved me wrong! 😂👏

The finished styles were AMAZING, especially for their first attempts! 🤩

We love seeing their skills and confidence grow each week, and they should all be incredibly proud of what they achieved. 💕
