Love Being Blonde but Hate the Regrowth Phase 😭

As a hairdresser, I spend all day looking at hair.

So when my own started changing, I noticed.

I first started seeing little differences around 36, but over the last year or so I’ve noticed it much more.

My hair isn’t quite what it used to be. It’s become finer around the front, a little drier and definitely more fragile than it was in my early thirties.

I’ve noticed changes in my skin too, but if I’m honest, it’s my hair that’s made me realise how important it is to look after myself from the inside out.

As hairdressers, we spend years talking about products and routines, but healthy hair starts long before shampoo and conditioner.

So these days I’m focusing on the things I never really thought much about before.

More protein.
Collagen.
Hair supplements.
Strength training.
Hydration.

Just small things that make me feel like I’m looking after myself a little better🤍

Natural regrowth.
Old copper.
Previous bleach underneath.
Bleached ends.

I needed all my tools for this one.

Fine sections, heavy saturation and three different developers used only where they were needed.

Eprès was added throughout to protect the hair and keep integrity intact.

I never guarantee an end result when lifting banding on delicate hair.

I under promise, work methodically and let the hair lead the process.

We removed what wasn’t serving the hair and kept everything else strong.

The end result is a natural, soft balayage that feels like her.

My client was so happy with what we achieved and that’s always the goal.
