You never really know what someoneâs bringing into the room with them.
Some come because their mind wonât switch off. Some are grieving, feeling lonely or having a difficult time. Others just want an hour where nobody needs anything from them.
You donât need to have the same struggles as the person on the mat beside you. You donât even need to tell us what yours are.
I know walking into a group for the first time can feel daunting, especially on your own. People often worry that everyone will already know each other, or that theyâll be expected to talk. Thereâs always room for someone new, and youâre welcome to share or simply settle in and enjoy the session.
The chat over tea afterwards has become one of my favourite parts. Seeing people stay a little longer, get to know each other and feel comfortable coming back means so much to me.
Group work has always been a big part of The Key Method, and itâs a big part of why Iâm opening my own studio. Alongside my one-to-one work, thereâll be more classes, groups and workshops in Usk- somewhere to unwind, try something different and meet people you might never otherwise cross paths with.
Whatever brings you along, Iâd love to welcome you đ¤

What Iâve just read has taken my breath away⌠đ
ADHD is so much more than a child who canât sit still.
Iâve been reading about the deaths of 12-year-old Kaiyah Kennedy and 13-year-old Treyvon Bradshaw, both part of the same rugby league community. Itâs heartbreaking to think of two children lost, and the families, friends and teammates grieving them.
Kaiyahâs family have spoken publicly because they want people to better understand ADHD and childrenâs mental health. They also want their funny, much-loved boy remembered for his life, beyond the circumstances of his death.
Their words deserve to be heard.
For some children, ADHD can involve feelings that arrive intensely and are difficult to manage. Difficulty pausing before acting. Struggles that other people might see as bad behaviour, overreacting or being difficult.
What we see on the outside doesnât always tell us how much someone is struggling inside.
ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition. Anxiety, depression and other mental health difficulties can exist alongside it, and those deserve attention in their own right.
We can take childrenâs distress seriously.
We can look beyond âheâs or she has always been like thatâ. Listen without dismissing. Seek support when something doesnât feel right, even if a child still laughs, plays sport and appears confident.
A child can be deeply loved and still struggle. Parents can be doing everything they can and still need more help around them.
Children and families need understanding, access to appropriate care and somewhere to turn before things reach a crisis.
My thoughts are with both boysâ families and everyone who loved them.

Four weeks ago, they were nervous about walking into the room. Last night, they didnât want it to end.
Our final Lab Series session⌠and theyâve asked me to carry on every week. đ¤
I havenât decided what that might look like yet, but honestly, that meant so much.
I remember those first-night nerves. Coming alone. Meeting strangers. Wondering how comfortable theyâd feel.
Four weeks later, those strangers have made such strong connections. The feedback has been amazing, and the shift Iâve seen in each of them has been huge.
Thereâs something very moving about watching someone let their guard down. Say something theyâve been quietly carrying and hear someone else say, âMe too.â
Sometimes you donât realise how much youâve needed that until you experience it.
Across the series, we explored anxiety, burnout, overstimulation and sleepâwith learning, reflection, practical tools and deep relaxation.
These women showed up, even when they were nervous. They put the work in. And Iâm so proud of them.
This is why groups will always sit alongside my 1:1 work. Helping women and men understand themselves, recognise their worth and feel safe enough to connect is a privilege that still makes me emotional.
This is exactly why I do it.
And itâs a huge part of why Iâm opening The Key Method Studio in Usk.
More room for groups, workshops and longer programmes. Time to build trust, go deeper and give people somewhere they look forward to coming back to.
For those who nearly book, then talk themselves out of it. Who worry they wonât fit in. Who are so used to coping alone that support feels unfamiliar.
To my Lab Series ladies: thank you for trusting me, and for being so lovely to one another. Youâve reminded me exactly what I want to build more of.
And if youâve been watching, thinking, âI wish Iâd done thatââŚ
Remember that when the next one opens. Those women were nervous too. đď¸

A new chapter⌠That Iâm so ready to unlock đ
Soon, Iâll be turning the key to a place of my own in Usk.
Room for more of us. More moments to switch off, come back to ourselves and feel a little less alone.
The Key Method is opening a new door. And I canât wait to welcome you through it.
More soon đ¤ â¨đď¸

You can know youâre safe and still feel like something bad is about to happen.
Still brace when your phone rings.
Still read someoneâs mood before youâve even said hello.
Still struggle to rest without feeling guilty.
And then get frustrated with yourself because you âshould be over this by nowâ
Understanding why you do it can help. Feeling safe enough to respond differently takes practice.
Saying no and letting it stand.
Accepting kindness without rushing to repay it.
Having a difficult day without turning on yourself.
Small moments. Repeated.
Thatâs part of the work we do together at The Key Method, helping you feel more at ease in your life, rather than constantly bracing for it. đ¤đď¸

You might not want therapy. You might just want an hour thatâs actually about you.
Somewhere to untangle your thoughts, work out what you want or explore the parts of yourself you rarely give any time to.
Alongside therapy, I also offer:
⨠1:1 wellness coaching- talking through where you are, what feels stuck and what youâd like to change. Understanding your habits, making space for your own needs and finding practical ways forward.
⨠Private guided meditation- time to lie down, switch off and be guided into deep relaxation. You donât need to know how to meditate or come with anything to discuss.
⨠Spiritual and intuitive sessions- space to explore your inner world through Reiki & intuitive work. Perhaps youâre curious, feeling disconnected or wanting a deeper connection with yourself.
We can talk about what youâre looking for and shape your time around that.
Youâre allowed to come simply because youâd like to feel good, know yourself better or have someone take care of you for a while. đ¤
Join us for this Sundays reset- to gather what has grown & let go of what is no longer needed đ đĽ

How much of your life have you spent apologising for the way your brain works?
Sorry I forgotâŚ.
Sorry Iâm lateâŚ
Sorry I havenât repliedâŚ
Then all the things you donât say.
âIâve thought about that message every day. I still havenât answered it.â
âIâve been trying to start this for days.â
âIâm exhausted from doing things other people donât seem to have to think about.â
People see the missed appointment. They donât see the effort you put into remembering. They see you rushing at the last minute. They donât see the afternoon you spent stuck, watching the time disappear and getting increasingly angry with yourself.
And because you CAN do it sometimes, you punish yourself for the times you canât.
Youâve built a business. Raised children. Passed exams. Held down a demanding job. So why does opening a letter or booking an appointment sometimes feel impossible?
Thatâs where the shame creeps in. You stop thinking Iâm struggling with this- and start thinking What the hell is wrong with me?
I care about this because I know how easily that struggle can become the way you speak to yourself. And I hear it from adults who are doing so much, yet feel permanently behind.
By the time someone says âweâre all a little ADHD,â youâve already spent years wondering whether youâre just making excuses.
Being able to push through doesnât mean it isnât costing you.
The panic that finally gets you moving. The sleep you sacrifice to catch up. The evenings spent replaying what you said. The promises that tomorrow youâll be more organised, more consistent, somehow a different person.
You deserve support before you burn yourself out trying to earn the right to need it.
If youâre ready for support with the overwhelm, overthinking and exhaustion, we can work through it together. My UNLOCK programme gives us the time and space to do that.
Youâve spent enough time calling yourself difficult. Letâs make life feel less difficult for you.

âThatâs just how I amâ
That phrase hit me because, for a long time, I lived by it.
I was stubborn. It was my way or the highway, and if someone challenged me, Iâd dig my heels in even harder. I thought I was incapable of changing. If Iâm honest, I didnât really want to. Changing would have meant looking at myself properly, and that felt a lot harder than carrying on as I was.
I can understand now where some of those reactions came from. But understanding them doesnât mean I have to keep repeating them, especially when they affect the people around me.
So one day, something shifted- it hit me like lightning-I didnât want to be this selfish unyielding person anymore⌠I wanted be someone that shows care & empathy to others.
Iâm still me. I havenât become someone who gets everything right. But Iâm no longer willing to use âthatâs just how I amâ as a reason to stop growing.
If youâd told the old me Iâd write this post, sheâd probably have argued with you. đł
And perhaps thatâs why I believe so deeply in the work I do now. I know what itâs like to think change is for other people. I also know it can begin the moment youâre honest enough to say, âI donât want to keep doing thisâŚ. âŁď¸

Calm is not the prize.
I help people slow down every day. I see how much someone can be carrying beneath a face that looks perfectly calm.
But I donât want you to spend the rest of your life simply getting better at holding it all in.
I want you to be able to rest without guilt. Laugh without checking if youâre being too much. Say yes because you want to, not because youâre frightened of letting someone down. Feel excited about something without immediately waiting for it to go wrong.
Thatâs why nervous system work matters to me. We make space for the difficult things youâve been carrying, so thereâs room for more of you as well.
Because if youâve learnt to cope with everything but canât remember the last time you really enjoyed being here, thereâs more work to do. And thereâs more life waiting for you. đ¤
