A beautiful country farmhouse built in 1841, Cavan House is set just outside the quaint town of Rathfriland, at the foot of the Mourne Mountains; an Area of Outstanding Natural beauty. Fully refurbished in recent years, this Georgian family home provides spacious luxury self catering accommodation with idyllic rural surroundings, large private garden and beautiful views over the Mourne Mountains, Slieve Gullion & Slieve Croob. It comfortably sleeps 9 people and benefits from all modern features without losing its farm house charm. There is a large luxurious sitting room with an open fire, antique furniture, flat screen TV and DVD player, perfect for relaxing with your feet up. The traditional kitchen, complete with an Aga cooker is ideal for cooking and enjoying some local produce with family and friends. The large dining room with French doors out to the private patio is the perfect place to celebrate special occasions whether in front of the log stove or a burning barbeque outside. There are five inviting bedrooms. The large bathroom has a roll top bath, corner shower and is an ideal sanctuary to chill out after a busy day. This lavish home provides a relaxing alternative to city bustle with its peaceful backdrop. It provides an excellent base for the perfect family break, with lovely rural walks from the property, Castlewellan and Tollymore Forest Parks, local Golf courses, fishing, horseriding, cycling and beautiful beaches at Murlough, Newcastle, and Cranfield. ✨ 20 YEARS OF 'THE LOOK BEAUTY SALON ✨
September 2006… I was just 19 years old. 🥹
Not long out of college, with a head full of dreams, an opportunity arrose. With a huge amount of excitement and probably more than a few nerves, I took the biggest leap of my life alongside my previous business partner and friend and opened the doors to 'The Look Beauty Salon'
At just 19, I could never have imagined that the little salon I started would become such a huge part of my life — and that 20 years later, I would still be here! ❤️
There have been so many changes over the years. Lots of hard work, challenges, laughter, tears, amazing memories, and, most importantly, so many wonderful people who have walked through our doors.
Some clients have been with me since those very early days, and that honestly means more than I can put into words. 🥰
Looking back at that 19-year-old girl who took a big chance, I feel incredibly proud. She didn’t know where the journey would take her… but she knew she loved what she did and wanted to make it work.
20 years later, I’m still doing what I love. ✨
To every single client who has supported me, believed in me, and The Look over the past 20 years — thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🖤
And to my amazing team of girls, past and present, thank you for being part of the journey and helping make 'The Look' what it is today.
