It is unfortunate that I have to be writing this, but it’s very necessary.

There seems to be a misconception that because someone is a massage therapist, professional boundaries don’t apply. They absolutely do.

It is completely unacceptable for any client to touch, grab, or hold their therapist during a treatment without consent. Massage therapy is a healthcare and wellbeing profession, and therapists deserve to feel just as safe and respected in their workplace as anyone else.

No therapist should have to tolerate inappropriate behaviour, unwanted physical contact, or actions that make them feel uncomfortable. Crossing those boundaries is not harmless or flattering - it is a serious violation of trust and professionalism.

To those who value and respect their therapists, thank you. To those who don’t, please understand that inappropriate behaviour will never be accepted and may result in the treatment being stopped
immediately and you being refused any future appointments.

Respect is not optional. Professional boundaries exist for a reason.

I wanted to let you know that unfortunately, due to ongoing renovation work, The Passage House has given me 4 weeks notice to leave my treatment room. This has come as quite a surprise, as only a few weeks ago I had been reassured that I would be moved into another room once the work began on the South Lodge building.

My last working day there will be Friday 5th June.

While this isn’t the outcome I expected, I want to reassure you all that this is only a temporary change. I will be continuing my treatments from my home until I find a more permanent space.

I completely understand that for some of you, the convenience of the Passage House location has been ideal, and I truly appreciate your continued support during this unexpected transition. My priority is to make sure you still have a safe, peaceful and relaxing environment to come to, where you can continue your treatments comfortably.

Thank you all so much for your loyalty, kindness and support - it means more than you know, especially during times like this. I’m looking forward to continuing to see you all and welcoming you into my new temporary space very soon 💛
