During a Russian manicure, I’m working extremely close to your skin using very sharp scissors and applying gel with precision around the cuticle area.

For your safety and to achieve the clean, flawless finish you’re paying for, I need your hand to remain still while I work.

Please avoid:

📵 Scrolling, texting or holding your phone
🖐🏼 Moving your hand unexpectedly
✂️ Sudden movements during cuticle work
💅🏼 Reaching for items while I’m applying colour

Every movement affects both safety and the quality of your manicure. I take great pride in my work and want to give you the best possible result every time.

Your still hand = safer treatment + a cleaner, more precise manicure.

🍂 Autumn Kisses 🍂

The colours of autumn have officially arrived at The Nail Snug…

A beautiful mix of warm oranges, fiery reds, sparkling glitters and mesmerising cat eyes, finished with the tiniest touches of copper leaf — or, as I like to call them… autumn kisses. ✨
For this set I reached for:

I absolutely love creating sets where all the details work together without overwhelming the nail.
And even when we’re adding gorgeous details like glitter, foil and layers of colour, I still want the enhancement to remain thin, elegant and beautifully structured.

Because adding detail doesn’t mean adding bulk.

It’s all about choosing the right products, placement and technique to create maximum impact while keeping the enhancement refined.

A little sparkle.

Slow down, take a moment… and admire these beauties

This lovely manicure was created using the gorgeous Kinetics Slow Collection — the perfect palette of soft, dreamy tones for something effortlessly chic.

But Lorraine couldn’t resist adding her own little twist… because apparently a little polka dot moment was absolutely necessary. 😂

And honestly? We LOVE it.

Those delicate little dots add just the right amount of personality without taking away from the understated beauty of the set. Lorraine is definitely getting more adventurous with her nail art choices, and we’re here for it!

Soft, elegant and just a little bit playful — the perfect combination.

Sometimes the finish isn’t absolutely perfect — and that’s okay.

Because sometimes, it’s not about pushing for perfection… it’s about understanding the skin, knowing what it needs, and most importantly, knowing when to stop.

This is especially important with this particular client, who won’t mind me saying is a bit of a nibbler, a picker and, frankly, a destroyer 🫣😂

When the skin and nails have been through a lot, trying to achieve a perfectly pristine finish in one appointment isn’t always the right approach. Sometimes the best thing we can do is work with what we have, protect the natural nail and skin, and gradually improve things over time.

And that’s exactly what we’re doing with these nails.

We’re working together to get them looking and feeling the best they can — little by little, appointment by appointment.
Because healthy nails and skin will always come before chasing perfection. ✨
