Dr Evanthia explains: Don't book a hair transplant before you watch this.

£30,000 for a hair transplant. And the hair keeps falling.

You are told it is a one time fix. Fifteen hundred follicles moved from the back of your head to the front, and the problem is solved.

It is not solved.

Here is what actually happens. The follicles they harvest come from the back of your scalp, where hair is naturally less sensitive to DHT. Those grafts usually hold. The hair already growing around them does not. It has no protection and it carries on thinning.

So the transplanted line stays put while the density behind it quietly disappears. Two years in, the result looks patchy and you are being quoted for round 2.

Then there is what nobody puts in the brochure. Infection. Scar tissue. Shock loss around the grafts. Even Joe Rogan tried twice.
