As a lash artist, I always explain that an allergic reaction is possible, even if you never had one before. In most cases, the reaction is not to the lashes themselves, but to the adhesive fumes, which contain cyanoacrylate.
It is important to understand the difference between sensitivity and allergy:
Sensitivity can include mild redness or watery eyes during the first hours after the appointment.
Allergy usually includes eyelid swelling, itching, burning sensation, and may appear 24–48 hours later.
If you have previously experienced an allergic reaction to lash extensions, a repeat treatment will most likely cause the reaction again. In such cases, I always prioritise health over beauty.

– avoid contact with the skin
– ensure proper ventilation
– complete a full consultation before the appointment
