A birth plan is not about trying to control every part of birth. It is about understanding your options, knowing what matters to you and feeling confident enough to make informed choices if plans need to change 🤍
When you understand the benefits, risks and alternatives around different interventions, you are better equipped to have meaningful conversations with your birth team and make decisions that feel right for you and your baby.
So, what should you include in a birth plan?
✨Your birth preferences
Think about your environment, movement and positions, monitoring, examinations, pain relief, interventions, who you want with you and your preferences immediately after birth.
✨Your questions
Ask what is being recommended, why it is being recommended, what the benefits and risks are, what the alternatives are and what may happen if you choose to wait.
✨Your coping toolkit
Birth can be intense, so consider the tools you want available before you need them. Breathing techniques, movement, massage, water, music, counter pressure and sensory distraction can all have a place.
This is where Aura Orbs can become part of your toolkit. Using sensory input and focused pressure as a distraction gives your brain something else to process alongside contractions, offering a simple, drug free coping option you can reach for whenever you need it.
✨Your Plan B and C
A good birth plan is not rigid. Consider what you would want if induction, assisted birth or a caesarean became recommended. Being informed about those possibilities beforehand can make unexpected decisions feel less overwhelming in the moment.
Most importantly, talk through your birth plan with your midwife or birth team before labour. A birth plan works best when it starts a conversation rather than simply sitting in your hospital bag.
You might not be able to plan exactly how your birth unfolds, but you can prepare yourself with knowledge, questions and coping tools.
Save this for when you start writing yours and send it to an expecting mama who needs the reminder that your preferences deserve to be discussed.

Thank you Bryony for letting us share your beautiful birth story 🤍
“I listened to my body and responded and we did it!”
We absolutely love hearing how the products we create become part of your birth stories.
As Bryony’s labour became more intense, she reached for her Yuula Aura Orbs, squeezing them through each contraction while focusing on her breathing and being supported by her husband and midwife.
She also had her Birth Affirmation Cards on display in the room, helping her create a calm and positive space to birth in.
Before she even had chance to get into the birth pool, Bryony’s body told her it was time to push and just a handful of pushes later, her baby boy was here 🤍
Our Aura Orbs were created to give you something to squeeze, hold and focus on during labour, helping you stay grounded when contractions become more intense.
Knowing they were there with Bryony during such a special moment is exactly why we do what we do 🥹

Two tools. One very important job: helping you feel more in control during birth. ✨
Same clever science. Different sensations. More ways to find what works for you.
Meet The Pain-Relief Duo 👇
🤎 The Aura Orbs
Our spiky little birth companions are designed to be squeezed during contractions, creating a strong sensory experience across both hands. They work with gate control theory and encourage the release of your body’s natural pain-relieving endorphins. Having two means you can squeeze with both hands.
Their rounded shape can also make them easier to grip as things intensify.
And they’re not just for squeezing. Roll and press your Aura Orbs over the body for massage during pregnancy and early labour, helping you relax and release tension before putting them to work in your hands.
🤎 The Birth Comb
Small, simple and seriously handy. Squeeze the comb firmly into your palm during contractions and it works through the same clever principles, creating a competing sensation and encouraging those natural pain-relieving endorphins.
As labour progresses, lean into your Birth Comb, switch to your Aura Orbs when you want a different or more intense sensation, or simply mix things up as you go.
Because there’s no single right way to cope with contractions. What feels good in one moment might change in the next.
Same clever science. Two different sensations. One powerful little duo. 🙌
The Aura Orbs + Birth Comb = The Pain-Relief Duo.
It’s not magic. It’s science. 🧠

You know that feeling when something lights a little fire in you? 🔥✨
That feeling of possibility. Of backing yourself. Of women cheering on women, families supporting families, and knowing that when we come together, something really special can happen.
That’s the feeling I want to hold onto.
Because over the years, this has become about so much more than the things we create.
It’s about the women and families who get to feel the joy and pride of retelling their story, over and over again. 🤍
Every order. Every person I get to know. Every baby born into one of our pools. Every question asked, every piece of information sought out, every story shared with me.
And I know those stories don’t always unfold the way we hoped or imagined they would.
For me, it’s never been about chasing a ‘perfect’ birth. It’s about women having access to information, knowing their options, asking questions and feeling able to make informed choices about their own experience, whatever path it ultimately takes.
Because there can be so much power in knowing you were informed, involved and heard. In being able to look back and say, “That was my story.” And to tell it with all the complexity, emotion and pride that comes with it.
Those are the moments that keep the fire burning. 🔥
So to every single one of you, whether you’ve been here from the early days or you’ve only just found us, thank you.
For every order, recommendation, message, photo, tag, question and story you’ve trusted me with. From around the corner to the other side of the world, YOU are at the heart of this community.
Here’s to keeping that fire burning, lifting each other up, seeking out the information we need, making the choices that are ours to make and telling our stories with pride. 🔥🤍
Now I’d love to hear yours. What’s something in your story that you’re proud of? Something that still lights a fire in you, and might just spark something in someone else too? ✨

The end of pregnancy… your due window… 😅
Let’s be honest, most of us reach a point where we’d try annnnything to get labour started. Walking, bouncing on a ball, eating pineapple, spicy curries… you’ve probably heard them all. 😂
The truth? Only your body and your baby can really decide when labour begins.
But… there are things you can do to prepare your body, create moments of calm and connection with yourself and your unborn baby, and maybe give things a little nudge when the time is right. ✨
At Yuula, we’re all about helping you feel informed, prepared and in control. So we created The Final Trio… three beautiful products designed to support you through those final weeks of pregnancy.
🌿 Why clary sage?
Clary sage is a natural uterine stimulant that has traditionally been used in the final weeks of pregnancy and is thought to help encourage contractions when your body and baby are ready. That’s why we’ve included it in two beautiful ways…
🛁 Clary Sage Bath Salts
Transform your bath into a calming self-care ritual. Perfect for slowing down, easing those final-weeks aches and creating moments of calm and connection with yourself and your unborn baby.
🌿 Clary Sage Roller Ball
Apply to your pulse points from 37 weeks onwards to enjoy the benefits of high quality clary sage aromatherapy wherever you are. Keep it by your bedside, pop it in your hospital bag or even store it in the fridge for a refreshing cooling treat on hot summer days. ❄️
🍓 Final Push Raspberry Leaf Tea
Traditionally enjoyed from 32 weeks onwards to support the uterus in preparation for birth. Plus, it’s the perfect excuse to put your feet up with a warm cuppa and enjoy a few mindful moments each day. ☕
None of these products can start labour on demand, but they can help you feel calm, connected and prepared to welcome your baby when the time comes… and honestly, that’s a pretty lovely place to be. 🤍

Nobody prepares you for the fact that pregnancy comes with its own language.
One minute you’re living a normal life, the next you’re casually saying things like “lightning crotch” and “ring of fire” as if they’re completely normal 😭😂… and don’t even get me started on phantom kicks 😂
How many of these have you actually Googled?

There is no single “right” way to give birth.
Whether your baby arrived vaginally or by caesarean, with an epidural or without, at home, in a birth centre or in hospital, your birth is no less real, no less powerful and no less worthy of celebration.
Birth isn’t a test you can pass or fail, and there is no prize for doing it one way over another. What matters most is that you felt informed, respected and supported to make the choices that were right for you and your baby.
Every birth tells a different story, but every story deserves to be told with pride 🤍

Your hospital bag doesn’t need to be full… it just needs to be thoughtful. 🤍
Some of the smallest things you pack can make the biggest difference when labour begins.
✨ A calming room spray isn’t just about making the room smell nice. Start using the same scent during pregnancy whenever you’re practising breathing, relaxation or hypnobirthing. Pair it with your guided relaxation sessions and, over time, your brain begins to associate that scent with feeling calm and safe. Then, when labour starts, one spray can become a powerful reminder to relax, breathe and let your body do what it was designed to do.
✨ Aura Orbs® are designed to keep your hands, breath and mind focused. Their textured surface gives your brain something else to pay attention to, helping redirect sensation through touch. The best part? They go wherever you do. Use them at home, in the car, in the birth pool, while waiting for pain relief to take effect, or even during a caesarean birth. They’re always there when you need an anchor.
✨ The Yuula Birth Comb applies focused pressure into the palm, encouraging your body’s natural endorphin release while giving you something positive to concentrate on through each contraction. Every Yuula Birth Comb also comes paired with our guided relaxation audio, so you can begin practising your breathing and relaxation techniques during pregnancy, building confidence long before labour begins. Combined with your calming scent, it becomes another powerful way to train your brain to switch into a calmer, more relaxed state when the big day arrives. Small enough to stay in your hand throughout labour, it’s there whenever you need it, whether you’re at home, in the car, in hospital or waiting for your baby to arrive by caesarean birth.
Birth isn’t about finding one magic product. It’s about building a toolkit that helps you feel calmer, more confident and more in control, wherever your birth takes you.
Because sometimes, the smallest tools have the biggest impact. 💛🩷
