🔥 Can heat & massage help with unwanted filler? 💉✨

Not every filler concern automatically means reaching for the dissolver.

In carefully selected cases, controlled warmth combined with gentle, targeted massage may be used by an experienced practitioner to help soften and manipulate areas of hyaluronic acid (HA) filler that feel firm, uneven or over-concentrated.

Heat can make some HA fillers temporarily softer and more malleable, while appropriate massage may help redistribute the product and improve minor lumps or irregularities.

⚠️ But this isn’t a DIY filler-dissolving technique.

Heat and massage do not replace hyaluronidase when filler genuinely needs to be dissolved, and aggressive massage or excessive heat can cause irritation, swelling and potentially make a problem worse, so please see your practitioner for advice before proceeding with this option.

Before treating unwanted filler, I always consider:

✨ What filler was used
✨ Where it was placed
✨ How long it has been there
✨ Whether we are dealing with excess product, migration, a lump or another complication
✨ Whether manipulation, time or dissolving is actually the safest option
