6 things I get asked ALL the time as a PMU artist… ✨

💕 Does PMU hurt?
It can feel a little scratchy, but with numbing and my gentle technique, you shouldn’t be in lots of pain. Many clients say threading is more uncomfortable! Often, excessive pain comes from working too deeply into the skin.

💕 Do you remove all my natural brow hairs?
Absolutely not! We keep as much natural hair as possible to create the most natural result. Shading is added where needed, especially where there’s less hair or uneven density. Only hairs outside the desired shape are tidied.

💕 How long do they take to heal?
Brows can look darker for the first few days before softening. Lips can initially be swollen and stronger in colour before settling. I talk you through the full healing process and aftercare step by step.

💕 How do we choose the colour?
Colour is chosen specifically for YOU. I consider your skin tone, undertones, hair colour and, for lip blush, your natural lip tone. We’ll choose a shade that complements you and that you love.

💕 How long does PMU last?
Generally 1–3 years, depending on skin type, lifestyle and aftercare. PMU is designed to softly fade over time, allowing us to refresh it with a colour boost, usually around 12–18 months depending on the individual.

💕 Will they look natural?
My aim is always to enhance what you already have, not completely change you. Whether you prefer soft hairstrokes or a more defined look, we’ll discuss everything during your consultation.

The first photo shows previous eyebrow tattooing that wasn’t done by me. After just 3 laser removal sessions, we were able to lighten and soften the old pigment before creating a brand-new set of brows that better suited my client’s face.
