What Is Going On?!
Me and Sol are confused… 🙃

This is not my normal kind of post and I don’t like having to do this but unfortunately it is necessary…

There has been a huge increase recently in people cancelling/moving their appointments on the day, an hour before or even during their booked appointment time.

This week I had 7 clients in ONE DAY do exactly this and although you might think it doesn’t matter, this really has a huge impact on a small business like us.

That’s 7 appointments left empty and no advanced notice/warning to be able to fill or advertise. 7 appointments worth of stock that has been purchased for you in advance for your appointment, as well as loss of earnings and 7 appointments of my time wasted.

I always try to be extremely understanding, life happens and there’s often times when things crop up/are way more important than your appointment. But it’s simply not possible to sustain running a business in which people cancel/move with no advanced warning.

If you do need to move your appointment, please contact me ASAP so I can not only find you a more suitable alternative, but also lessen the impact at the clinic.

Due to the significant increase in frequency of this happening. I have had to amend my cancellation policy accordingly. Any appointments moved/cancelled on the day will incur a £50 no show fee to cover the loss of time. Our booking deposit has also increased to £50 and will be kept in addition to the no show fee in this instance.

If you turned up to your job Monday morning to be told you have to be in work all week but you won’t be paid, understandably this would be extremely frustrating. This is how much impact your last minute cancellation can impact small self employed businesses.

Apologies for this little moan and I always try and will continue to be as flexible and accommodating as I can, however I am also running a business please respect our time as much as your own.
