A little refresh for this gorgeous mummy-to-be. 🤰🤍

Olivia’s natural colour is a couple of shades lighter than the dark she’d been having, so we softened everything up with teased highlights for a seamless, lower-maintenance grow out—perfect with a little one on the way.

We finished with the dreamiest strawberry copper tones that will soften and fade beautifully into a warm blonde.

Going from warm to cool isn’t as simple as slapping on a toner and hoping for the best (although wouldn’t that make my job a whole lot easier? …. And boring).

Every head of hair is different, so creating a cooler blonde is all about choosing the right technique and the right formula to get you there while keeping your hair looking healthy.

Safe to say... she’s giving soft, creamy, expensive blonde and I am OBSESSED. 😮‍💨

Blonde hair is a lifestyle choice... if you want her looking GOOD, she be needing all the TLC. 🫶🤍

💦 She needs moisture!
My go-to’s are the Pureology Hydrate range and Olaplex No.7 Oil.

She also needs a little protein every now and then, especially if she’s feeling stretchy or weak. My favourite is the O&M Power Base Mask - the perfect protein fix.

🛌 Save her from the gymnastics routine that happens while you sleep.
You know when you wake up looking like you’ve got a bird’s nest on top of your head? 😂

Invest in a silk pillowcase and wear your hair in a protective style overnight. It’ll help reduce friction, tangles and breakage while you sleep.

🔥 Your straighteners do NOT need to be on the setting labelled “Satan’s arsehole.”
180°C will do the job just fine... and for the love of blonde hair, don’t forget your heat protection. 😮‍💨

💇‍♀️ She needs a little snippy snip.
If it’s been 12 weeks since your last trim... she’s probably due one.

Split ends don’t just stay on the ends—they continue travelling up the hair shaft, so keeping on top of regular trims will help keep your blonde looking healthier for longer. If your hair is feeling particularly damaged, I’d recommend coming in every 6–8 weeks for a tidy-up.

Healthy blonde will ALWAYS look more expensive than damaged blonde 🪩

Lowlights always look a little… aggressive before they’re toned and dried, but that’s exactly what creates that soft, expensive-looking dimension once everything comes together.

The panic is temporary. The dimension is worth it! 🤎

Moral of the story: don’t judge the hair until I’ve put the hairdryer down. 😮‍💨✨

Everyone sees the after… but here’s what actually got us there 👀

This wasn’t a case of throwing a few foils in and hoping for the best 😂

We had regrowth, harsh lines, warm banding and tired blonde ends to work through.

So we rebuilt the colour with teased highlights, lowlights, two glosses, Olaplex in every step and a little backwash balayage magic. ✨

The goal? A blonde that looks soft, seamless and grows out beautifully.

When the process is just as satisfying as the results 🤤
