As an eczema sufferer I found that using the traditional methods of hair removal - waxing, shaving, threading or epilation just made the condition of my skin worse, so, on the recommendation of a friend I went to London to get IPL treatments - she certainly didn't fib when she said it would change my life!!! As I couldn't get the service anywhere in Norwich, I trained and set up in business to hel

I'm so happy because a lovely person dropped off a chilli plant for me today 🌶️

Some of you may know how much I love cooking and I can't wait to try out these chillis.

Apart from the obvious chilli con carne, what do you think I should cook with them?

Thursday 3rd September… the children are back at school!

Mums, you’ve made it through the summer holidays. You’ve been the entertainer, snack provider, taxi driver, referee, cleaner and organiser, often all before lunchtime!

Now it’s your turn.

If your shoulders are up around your ears and your back and neck are full of knots, you need this. You need a massage, some peace and quiet, and a little well deserved me time.

Book your space, switch off for a while and let me help you feel like you again. You’ve definitely earned it!

Plucking upper-lip hairs might seem like a quick fix, but the delicate skin around your mouth does not always appreciate it.

Repeated plucking can cause redness, irritation, ingrown hairs, spots and inflamed hair follicles. Over time, it may also leave dark marks, especially if your skin is sensitive or exposed to the sun without protection.

If you are considering IPL hair removal, there is another important reason to put the tweezers down: IPL targets pigment in the hair within the follicle. When you pluck the hair out, there is less for the treatment to target, making it less effective.

Trimming or shaving is usually a better option between IPL appointments because it leaves the hair beneath the skin intact.

Let’s talk bikini lines, because yes, there is more than one option and no, you are not expected to know the difference before you walk through the door.

That is what I’m here for.

The Classic or Standard Bikini Line
This is the neat little tidy-up. We remove the hair from the sides, just outside your knicker or bikini line, so nothing decides to make an unexpected appearance when you’re in swimwear.

The Bikini Touch-Up
For when things are mostly under control but the edges need a little reminder of who’s boss. Perfect if you’ve had IPL before and just need a bit of maintenance.

The French or Landing Strip
This takes the bikini line a little further in and leaves a neat strip at the front. Tidy, defined and a bit more confident without going completely bare.

The Brazilian
This removes most of the hair from the bikini area, usually leaving a small strip, triangle or shape at the front. Smooth, neat and very popular if you want more than a tidy-up but not the full goodbye.

The Hollywood
This is the all-off option. Front to back, nothing left behind. If you want completely smooth, this is the one.

And please don’t worry if you don’t know what to ask for. You are not the first person to say, “I think I want that one… but I’m not entirely sure.”

We will talk it through, keep it relaxed, keep it professional, and find the option that feels right for you.

No awkwardness. No judgement. Just smooth confidence and a little less guesswork.

That upper lip hair can feel like it grows back the moment you have removed it!

Waxing may offer a quick fix, but it repeatedly pulls at the delicate skin on your face and can leave the area red, sore or bumpy. It also means waiting for the hair to grow long enough before it can be waxed again.

IPL hair removal takes a longer-term approach. It uses pulses of light to target the hair at the root, gradually reducing its growth over a course of treatments. As the sessions progress, the hair can become finer, softer and much less noticeable.

There is no harsh pulling on the skin and there is less risk of ingrown hairs.

IPL works best on certain hair and skin types, so a consultation and patch test are always needed first. If you are tired of constantly waxing, plucking or worrying about upper lip hair, come and have a chat with me about whether IPL could be right for you.

Just had laser hair removal?
Step away from the hot bath!

After treatment, your skin may feel warm and sensitive. It needs time to cool and recover, so adding more heat can make irritation worse.

A hot bath may:

• Increase redness, swelling and sensitivity
• Intensify that hot, prickly or sunburnt feeling
• Dry out the skin, leaving it itchy or flaky
• Increase the risk of blistering
• Irritate the treated hair follicles and potentially increase the risk of infection

Choose a cool or lukewarm shower instead, gently pat the area dry and follow your aftercare advice. Avoid hot baths, saunas, steam rooms and strenuous exercise for at least 24 to 48 hours.

Your relaxing soak can wait. 🛀

If you could put me in a box, this would definitely be the box!

It would contain IPL hair removal, facials, back massages, LipoFirm and Tropic Skincare, along with plenty of music, socialising and a little bit of sparkle.

I absolutely love what I do, although if I’m honest, I’d much rather do it every day wearing a fabulous ball gown with a glass of bubbly in my hand!

It might make performing treatments slightly more difficult, but it certainly adds a bit of glam.

Focused, boss babe and unstoppable. Absolutely!

It is hot this weekend, so please remember your sunscreen!

Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher before heading outside, and do not forget easy-to-miss areas such as your ears, neck, chest and the tops of your feet. Reapply regularly, especially after swimming or sweating.

Sunscreen is not just for heatwaves or holidays. UV rays can damage your skin even on cooler or cloudy days, so make SPF part of your everyday skincare routine.

Enjoy the sunshine, stay hydrated and keep your skin protected!
If you've run out then you can put an order in with me.

Today is National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, so of course I brought some to work with me!

It would have been rude not to celebrate, wouldn’t it?
The only question is, were there any left by the end of the day?

August is National Wellness Month, and reducing stress is one of the best things we can do for our overall wellbeing.

Did you know that in Sweden, employers can offer a tax-free wellness allowance that may be used towards massage? Massage is recognised as a relaxing, stress-reducing wellness activity, which shows just how seriously they take prevention and wellbeing.

A regular massage is not simply an occasional treat. It can help to ease muscle tension, encourage relaxation, reduce feelings of stress and give you valuable time to properly switch off.

When life is busy, we often keep going without noticing how much tension we are carrying in our shoulders, neck, back and even our jaw. Massage gives both your body and mind permission to slow down.

If you have never experienced a massage before, why not use National Wellness Month as your reason to try one?
