After last weeks scorching temperatures I had to pause on any Laser Tattoo Removal treatments booked in.

Not because my clients don't listen to me and keep their tattoos covered whilst we remove them 😉 Its because your body will not regulate the combination of laser heat and your natural increased temperature very well.

☀️Our bodies internal cooling system becomes less effective in extreme heat.

☀️Sweat evaporation slows down, but we also become more sweaty in general 🙃

☀️Blood vessels are more dialated due to more blood being sent to the skin to help cool us down.

While the heat itself doesn't reduce the effectiveness of the laser treatment, it can make the recovery more uncomfortable.
Increased sweating can irritate the skin and raise the risk of infection if the skin becomes blistered or broken (something we should be avoiding! 👀) Its also harder to keep the area cool and comfortable post treatment which is essential for the skins recovery 🙌

The clinic maybe cool and air conditioned 🙏 but its about what happens after laser when it comes to healing!

Apologies to anyone I had to rearrange on the more extreme days of heat last week but I will always have your best interests at heart ❤️
