Marie is a Wella Master Colour Expert and was the first in Nottingham to hold this award. She also has Vidal Sassoon training. Marie feels that on going training is very important in our industry as things are changing and improving all the time. All Marie's staff are trained by herself so that every client that comes though the door is looked after to a very high standard.

Still buzzing from Monday’s phone call 🤯✨ I’ve officially made it through to the FINAL round for a scholarship with the Sassoon Academy in London 🇬🇧✂️
Out of everyone who applied, only 12 of us made it through 🙌🥹
Honestly, I’m beyond grateful and so excited because I’ve never made it to a final before 💫 This already feels like such a huge achievement for me ❤️
Next stop… London on the 22nd June ✈️ where I’ll be presenting why I should be given this incredible opportunity 🤞🔥

On Monday I headed up to Manchester to my favourite hair education home, Wella Studios, for a luxury lived-in blonde course with the incredible Nikki Clifford ✨
We covered new placements, colour recipes and so much more, I can’t wait to bring all these fresh ideas back to the salon for my lovely clients 💛

I’ve been a little quiet on here lately… but that’s only because I’ve been busy working hard behind the scenes ✨
Over the next couple of months, you’ll start to see lots of exciting improvements to the salon 💇♀️
Here’s what’s coming:
1️⃣ We’re going back to our roots — you’ll now find us on Google as Marie Hall Hairdressing
2️⃣ Over the Easter 🐣 break, the salon garden is getting a BIG makeover 🌿☀️ perfect for relaxing while your colour develops
3️⃣ Weather permitting, the shop front will also be having a glow-up ✨ (we’ve shared an AI preview of what it will look like!)
4️⃣ And at the end of May, the salon itself will be getting its own makeover too… watch this space 👀

On Friday, an incident occurred in the salon where a client spoke to me in a way that was quite belittling, in front of three other clients. I remained professional throughout, and after the client had left, the other clients kindly took the time to commend me on how I handled the situation. Their support meant a great deal.
I would like to gently remind everyone that the salon is a place of respect and kindness. While I always strive to provide the best possible service and go out of my way for my clients, I will not continue a service if I am spoken to in a disrespectful manner.
Like many small business owners, the challenges during Covid were incredibly difficult, and there were moments when negative experiences nearly led me to close the salon. However, I truly love what I do and value the wonderful clients who make my work so rewarding.
Going forward, I kindly ask that we treat one another with courtesy and respect. Anyone who behaves in a disrespectful manner will unfortunately not be welcomed back.

Today Russell and I took a trip to 👁️✨
During my Wella Colour Higher Level Diploma, we dive into the science of the eye, especially the melanin pigment within it and how it influences colour. So when I heard about this place, I had to get our eyes captured.
Here are mine and Russell’s 👀
Russell was told he has very green eyes 💚
I was told mine are a darker green in spring/summer, and shift more hazel in winter 🤎💚
Such a fascinating experience, seeing the detail up close was incredible!
