Turning 50… wow 😅

When I was younger, I honestly thought that by 50 you had to “be someone” — have everything figured out, achieve huge things, tick every box… otherwise somehow you failed at life.

And to be honest, I didn’t really know how I was supposed to feel about turning 50!
Excited? Emotional? In denial? 😂
I think the hardest part is comparing yourself to others… looking around and thinking, “Should I have done more by now?”

But then I stopped for a moment and looked at my own journey.

19 years ago I came to the UK with no English, no connections, and no idea if anyone would even hire me. Fast forward to today — England is my home, I’m happily married, and I run my own little beauty business doing something I truly love. And honestly? That’s something younger me would be so proud of.

I’ve realised that success is not about having the biggest house, the most money, or looking like you have the “perfect” life on Instagram 😅
What really matters is how you feel about your life, appreciating what you’ve built, and being grateful for the people around you.

I’m forever grateful for my husband — my rock through everything ❤️
My family (not all blood, because sometimes the best family is the one you choose), and my amazing friends whose support means more than they know.

And of course, my job — my passion. I feel so lucky that I can do what I love every day, and I’m so thankful for all my lovely clients for their continued support and trust in me over the years.

So here’s to 50🥂
Maybe not perfect, maybe not exactly how I imagined it… but full of love, growth, lessons, laughter, and a lot of hard work.

And honestly… after all these years, I still don’t know what I’m doing half the time 😂 but apparently that’s normal too😉
