I love Skin Solace and everything I’ve created over the years, but somewhere along the way I think I lost a little of what it was always meant to be about.

Not just products.

The ritual of taking a little time for yourself. 🤎

So I’m stripping things back, looking again at what Skin Solace does best and starting from there.

I’ve had an idea that feels very Skin Solace — and for the first time in a while, I’m really excited about where it could take us.

I’m not telling you everything just yet 👀

But this is the beginning.

Hen parties, but make them smell amazing 🌿🥂

Essential oils, botanicals and a table full of people creating something completely their own. A lovely way to spend a hen party — and considerably better smelling than most nights out 😂

This group joined me at Skin Solace for a wedding scent workshop, blending their own scents and creating botanical wax melts to take home.

There’s something lovely about making time to sit together, try something new and get a little creative. You don’t have to be good at it. You just have to come along.

Sitting on these rocks in Magaluf, I found myself thinking about direction.

What next?
Where am I going?
What should I be doing differently?

And then I thought… just stop.

Stop trying to work everything out.

Stop feeling like every quiet moment needs to produce an answer, a plan or a revelation.

So I sat there and tried to empty my mind.

Because the truth is, what’s going to be is going to be.

I don’t need to know exactly how everything is going to unfold. I don’t need to have every next step mapped out.

What I can control is how I show up.

To be committed to the things I say I want.
To be consistent in the things that move me towards them.
And to give myself enough grace to understand that the rest will unfold in its own time.

Maybe taking a break isn’t always about finding clarity.

Sometimes it’s about giving yourself permission not to have the answers.

For now, committed and consistent is enough. 🤍

I definitely didn’t consider the stairs when I chose my unit… 😂

Unloading stock is one thing.
Unloading stock and then carrying every single box up these stairs is another.

Apparently running Skin Solace now comes with a complimentary gym membership. 😂💪🏾

The upside? Stock gets delivered, shelves get filled, AND I get my steps in. Who needs leg day?

Small business life: making the products, packing the products, selling the products… and hauling the products upstairs. 🤦🏾‍♀️😂

Yesterday was one of those days that reminded me why I keep going. 🤎

Every one of these notifications represents someone choosing Skin Solace — whether it was £4, £5.50, £10 or £25, every single order mattered.

There’s something incredibly encouraging about watching those little Shopify notifications pop up throughout the day, knowing that behind each one is someone taking home something I’ve made.

So to everyone who bought from Skin Solace yesterday — thank you. Truly.

Thank you for stopping, browsing, buying, coming back for your favourites, trying something new and supporting this little brand I continue to pour so much into.

Yesterday was a good day. 🌿
