On a personal note, it's been a tough couple of months with illness and bereavements.
However I'm beginning to bounce back 💪.
As some of you know, I'm taking part in a Triathlon-Type Event (Dusk to Dawn) early September to fundraise for Action for Medical Research. I MUST BE MAD! I didn't realise the steepness of the cycle and climb 😳.
So if you can spare any pennies at all, I'd be very grateful. The attached flyer has a QR code that takes you to the justgiving page.
Alternatively- I've a raffle going on for a Coach handbag too - keep your eyes posted for that too!

MASSAGE THERAPY, LYMPHOEDEMA, AND PALLIATIVE CARE
My Mum is currently receiving Palliative Care at home. It isn't an easy time, but I'm in the lucky position, and feeling quite privileged, to be able to support her with manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) and massage care.
MLD is a specialised type of massage that may be used to treat lymphoedema. Lymphoedema is swelling that develops because of a build-up of lymph fluid in the body’s tissues. The lymphatic system usually drains the fluid away. Lymphoedema happens when the lymphatic system is not working properly. MLD can improve circulation in the lymphatic system.
It involves applying gentle pressure to your body by stroking, kneading, holding or tapping it. It can focus on the whole body, or on 1 area such as the hands, face, shoulders or feet. This means you do not always need to remove any clothing to have treatment.
Some studies of people with cancer suggest that massage therapy may also help reduce anxiety, depression and fatigue.
If this may be of interest to you or your family member please get in touch. Family members or friends can be shown simple massage techniques to use between appointments. Home visits are available.

Sometimes it's worthwhile trying something new.
This weekend is Women Go Gliding Weekend 2026. Did you know only 5% of pilots are female. So simulator ready, and off flying around Aboyne with feet on the ground, was I! Deeside Gliding Club are offering free sessions this weekend
Sometimes it's good to experiment and try new things. Go live, go love, go treasure every minute.

Are you back playing golf again?
As the longer days return, the new golf season has started. Golfers are dusting off their clubs, ready to refine their swings and set new goals. Now is the time to rebuild your rhythm, improve flexibility, and avoid injury!
Your swing places stress on the shoulders, back, hips, and wrists. There have been a few golfers in clinic recently with aching shoulders and lower back pain.
So get yourself prepared. Book yourself in. Regular massage helps loosen tight muscles, improve circulation, and increase range of motion, all of which are essential for an effective and consistent golf swing. Massage can also help players achieve better posture and rotation, leading to improved performance on the course.
Don't forget recovery. After a long round or practice session, massage can help reduce soreness and speed up muscle repair, allowing you to stay active without overloading your body.
Be proactive - move towards playing better golf and staying injury-free. As you step onto the course this season, taking care of your body could be just as important as perfecting your swing.
The clinic is going to be working at reduced hours for the next few weeks. If you can't see an appointment time that suits, please message and I'll see what I can do.
Thanks for your patience and understanding 🙏
