I have shared this information multiple times over the last 8 years , please check your child’s school policies regarding Ear Piercing 🙏

If your child isn’t allowed to wear earrings full stop , if your child isn’t allowed to wear earrings for PE , if your child plays sports professionally , swims professionally then Ear Piercing may not be for them at this stage in their life .

With absolutely no exceptions, the jewellery cannot be removed for any length of time for around 9-12 months . This doesn’t mean the front of the jewellery can’t be switched out to a different attachment of you fancy something new . This means that the whole labret and attachment can’t be removed for PE days , for an hour or so for sports etc

A piercing is a wound. Not only a wound but one that is trying to navigate healing around an object that’s in the wound. The fistula takes time to mature . This is the part that eventually keeps the ‘ hole ‘ open when there is not jewellery inserted. If you remove and replace the jewellery during this period you disrupt this process over and over and risk infection.

No such thing as healing in 6 weeks sadly . Please read this information before scheduling a piercing for your child or yourself if these policies are in place for work etc 🫶🏻
