Another little drive through the Scottish Highlands, and another one for my Where Am I series.

This stretch of road has been catching drivers out for generations, but there's a lot more history around here than you might think.

During road improvements, archaeologists discovered evidence of people living in this area thousands of years ago. Makes you wonder how many people have travelled through these hills over the centuries.

So, who's driven this road before, and can you tell me exactly where I am?

Carbonara night, well, my version of it anyway!

Bacon lardons, egg, cheese and plenty of black pepper. Did one normal and one with mushrooms cooked right down into the bacon fat for a proper hit of umami.

Is it traditional? Absolutely not.
Was it bloody lovely? Absolutely. 😂

Cheap, simple, cooked from scratch. That’ll do me.

Things about me that probably should’ve screamed autism sooner:
I have to mentally prepare before going almost anywhere, even places I actually want to go.
I need days to recover from being around people too long.
Small changes in plans can throw my whole brain off.
In most social settings I’m really quiet and rarely have anything to say.
Certain sounds instantly irritate me and ruin my focus.
I can look completely fine in public and fall apart the second I get home.
I replay awkward moments in my head for an unreasonable amount of time.
I script what I’m going to say and still panic when the conversation goes off script.
I love being outdoors, especially anywhere I can hear the sound of water.
