Crash diets promise fast but they don't promise lasting
Crash diets can work for a short time but usually fail long term
And it’s not because you lack willpower
But its because they’re not built to be sustainable
So if you’re looking for more long term results, ditch the crash diet and focus on making small consistent changes
Things like getting out for a walk each day, adding in protein into each of your meals, eating your veggies, hydrating, getting enough sleep
Our client here said it herself…
Those small changes each day along with being consistent is what pays off
She’s now getting results instead of doing too much, burning herself out, giving up and having to start all over again
If you can’t see yourself doing what you’re doing in the next 2 months it’s likely not going to give you long term results
If you’re looking for a different approach, something that gives you results that last, DM me the word START
Copying your favourite influencer's exercise of the month won't get you results
Doing the basics in the gym consistently is what gets results
Not copying whatever's trending online this week
Mastering the basics like how to squat, hinge, push, pull
And progressing them properly when you're ready to
That's what gets results
Simplicity beats complicated every time when it's done consistently
And I know it sounds boring
But boring is what gets results
Save this post for the next time you're tempted to overcomplicate things

You don't need to do more, you need to do enough
More training doesn't mean betterďż˝
Cutting more calories doesn't mean better
It's easy to get stuck in this narrative that doing more means you'll do better & get faster results
But it's not always the case
More training isn't always a good idea if you're not recovering from sessionsďż˝
Or you're stressing yourself out trying to fit them inďż˝
Or you're not fuelling your sessions properly
Cutting more calories isn't always a good idea if your energy has tanked and you feel emptyďż˝
Or you're irritable, struggling to concentrate and constantly hungryďż˝
Or you're not giving your body enough of what it needs
You want to do enough to get the results
Not so much that you burn yourself out, go in circles and never see consistent progress
That's where we come in
Every client gets their own plan that balances everything, so they get the results they're after without doing too much

Most people have Monday to Friday locked down…mostly
But Saturday & Sunday? F**ked…
And if you feel like getting all defensive, then this post is likely aimed at you.
The weekend has become an event, a finish line, a reward for surviving the week.
The alarm goes off Saturday morning & your brain does the same thing it does when you clock off from work.
Done. Off duty. Everything can wait until Monday.
Except your body doesn't know it's the weekend.
It doesn't care that it’s the weekend.
It just knows what you put in it & what you did with it.
Here's the bit nobody wants to hear.
For some of you those 2 days is more than enough to undo the previous 5.
And then you wonder why the f**k nothing's changing when you've "being good all week"
Now for all of you who are fuming & are still failing to get my point here's what I'm not saying…
I'm not saying track every meal on a Saturday & Sunday
I'm not saying skip the pub or turn down your mums birthday supper.
But there's a difference between enjoying your weekend and treating it like a skip.
Keep 1 or 2 things in place.
Eat something decent in the morning.
Move your body at some point.
Don't completely f**k all structure off until Monday.
That's it.
Structure it even if lightly.
The weekend isn't a finish line.
It's just Saturday & Sunday.
2 days that can either quietly help you or quietly undo you.
It’s your choice.
Have a good one👊🏻

This is a client's answer when asked how she'd describe the support she's had from us
"It's not one size fits all"
That line sums up exactly what we're trying to do
Every client gets support that's actually tailored to them
Not the same support as the person next to them
Not the same nutrition plan
Not the same check ins
We look at what someone actually wants and needs and build round that
Some people need more structure
Some need more flexibility
Some just need someone in their corner who actually knows them
That's the bit that gets missed a lot in this industry
You're not just a name on a spreadsheet here
If you want that kind of support drop me a message with the word SUPPORT and I'll send you some details

5 things I think are overrated or just a bit sh*te…
Buckle up c***s, some of these might sting a little, especially if you’re a sensitive soul!
Have a swipe through & let me know if any of these land for you & if you’d want to see another list of useful or useless sh*te put together
As always here to bring you fitness without the bullsh*t👊🏻

Sometimes you need to push yourself outside of your comfort zone to prove to yourself you can do hard things
I've done it before
Like when I did a BJJ competition & ran Edinburgh marathon
But it's been a little while
And during that time the self-doubt started to creep in
"Can I really push myself when things get tough?"
"Am I capable of getting through hard challenges?"
So every now and then I need to put myself to the test
That way I can collect the evidence I do have grit
It's so much more than just collecting a medal or ticking off the next thing
Well at least for me it is
It's about having proof for myself that when things are tough I can get through it & I can push myself
That's exactly what The Gauntlet was for me
Another bit of evidence that I can get through a tough challenge and still be smiling at the end
