Luck or I just decided that no matter what it took, I was going to change our lives forever? Head in the clouds, foot on the gas until we got out of there.

For so many women their business is more than money, it’s freedom, its presence and its power and that’s why we stay even when we have periods of making no money! Because we keep our peace and our power. To those of you who feel like you are struggling to navigate showing up for your business amongst everything else going on in your life, bury your head in your business and it’ll eventually give back to you. Be intentional and delusional and it’ll work.

I hope any woman who shows up to her job and leaves her s**t at the door gets all the success the world owes her 🌎

been working slightly differently to usual for the past month 🏘️💗

Sorry for the radio silence 🤝🏼 those that know me personally, off of social media, know that my life has been rather turbulent for the past year… I’ve had to make difficult decisions in and out of work after years of pretending things were okay. I’ve always been honest about my situations so you understand where I’m heading and why.

My children are my whole entire world and I just want to give them a day to day life that feels predictable and consistent, after becoming a single mum within months of opening the salon all those years ago I feel like things have just been 100 miles an hour and I’ve hid A LOT of my reality within working life to just hustle on and ignore things, and then of course… I nearly lost the business due to reasons I’ll one day feel strong enough to get in to, not for sympathy but for relatability and the understanding that you can come from nothing, get it all and loose it all and still have that dog in you to get up and fight over and over again.

The best part of being a business owner isn’t the business you build, it’s who you become along the way and I mean that with everything in me. I am a completely different person to the girl who opened varnish and vanity. Everything I do is intentional rather than constant stabbing in the dark.

Thank you for always being understanding and kind it makes me want to be honest and raw. Owning a business that is heavily on social media, built by you being your authentic self is hard when things haven’t been sunshine and rainbows for what feels like forever. But ironically, that’s exactly what everyone’s life is like off of social media, successful or not so even if I have to show up during the hard times just to remind you to keep your eye on the ball regardless of what you see online then that’s what I’ll do, because when the odds are stacked against you and you crawl out of it, you know your on your way to something special 📈💖✨
