It’s been a tough month and we’re coming out the other side. I find it hard to share in the moment of the struggle as in this instance I actually just didn’t have a moment to myself but also because I find it hard to do that. I always find people who do that so brave and I admire them.

Anyways random thoughts in my head that I’m writing while walking to work.

Thinking about anti-wrinkle injections?

Always ask:

1. WHAT am I being injected with?
2. WHO prescribed it?

Different healthcare professionals can have prescribing rights in the UK, but professional registration alone does not automatically mean someone can prescribe.

You can check the relevant register and they are a prescriber

Doctors -GMC- license to practice means they can prescribe medication
Dentists -GDC- licensed to prescribe medications
Pharmacists -GPhC- it will state on the register if they are prescribers
Nurses -NMC- look for their qualifications and if it says prescriber then they can prescribe.

When in doubt, please always ask. It’s your face, your treatment and your right to know.

Only took me 9 months but I know what word I’m focusing on and since everyone in the uk treats September as the new year I’m going to use it as my new year too.

So grateful for summer and I already miss it even while I look forward to this next part.

What are you going to miss from summer?

I approached my masters quite differently to my degree which makes sense because for my masters I was in my mid 30s and formed school I was 17!

Have you been lucky enough to study later in life? How was it different for you?

I started my medical degree when I was 17. I was so young. Doing my masters in my 30s was so different. Still young but way more mature than when I stepped foot in med school.

Have you studied later than your original degree? Did you notice a difference?
