Summer is nearly over⌠so whatâs next for you? đ

That could include:
Work experience

Building your LinkedIn
Guidance around education and employment

Yesterday we had the pleasure of catching up with Liam Davies from the Hampshire Police Education & Partnerships Team to discuss the new academic year and the recent launch of Pol-Ed. Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire & Isle of Wight
It was a valuable opportunity to share updates and look at how we can continue working together to support young people across our communities.
As we head into the new academic year, weâre looking forward to continuing to build strong partnerships and create positive opportunities for young people.
Thank you to Liam for taking the time to meet with us and for the continued collaborationđ

A huge thank you to our five incredible SPONSORSđ¤
Mountjoy Ltd, Comserv, AtkinsRĂŠalis, HuwsGray and LJH Electrical.
Your support has such a huge effect on the impact weâre able to create with young people.
Because of our sponsors, weâre able to continue delivering projects, creating opportunities, raising aspirations and reaching young people who need support the most. Sponsorship isnât just about putting a logo on a page. It helps us turn ideas into real opportunities and create spaces where young people can feel supported and encouraged to believe in what they can achieve.
Weâre incredibly grateful to each of you for continuing to believe in our vision and for investing in the next generation.
Thank you for being part of the PRNG journeyđ¤Š

Meet Matilda! đ Matilda has been completing work experience with us over the summer, and weâve absolutely loved having her as part of the Next Gen team.
From the very beginning, weâve seen so much work ethic, enthusiasm and dedication from Matilda, and sheâs already got stuck into a huge variety of projects.
Sheâs been supporting the planning of our Next Gen Live event at the Guildhall, looking at our TikTok platform and video content, reviewing some of our delivery materials and helping us plan future blog content.
Itâs been brilliant to see her take on new tasks, bring her own ideas and get involved across different areas of the organisation.
In September, Matilda will be heading off to study A Level Politics, A Level English Language and A Level PE, and weâre so proud to be able to continue working with and supporting her alongside her studies.
We love having Matilda as part of the team and canât wait to see where this next chapter takes her!đ

Mentoring sessions arenât always about sitting across from each other and talking, sometimes, theyâre a session of exerciseđĽ
Lucasâ boxing sessions at Harbour School have shown us just how valuable movement can be for young people. Exercise can have such a positive impact on mental wellbeing, helping to reduce stress, release emotions and give young people a healthy outlet.
Itâs a bit like the âwalk and talkâ method. Sometimes, when youâre moving and doing something together, natural conversations just happen without the pressure of sitting down and having a conversation.
Lucasâ boxing sessions give young people an outlet in a completely different way, whether thatâs through having a distraction, building discipline, getting some movement in or simply having a positive space to focus on. And without always realising it, those natural conversations can start to happen too.
You donât always know the impact something like this is having in the moment, but creating a space where a young person feels comfortable, can move, talk, laugh and just be themselves can go a long way.
Itâs something weâve seen the value in so much that it has led to a much bigger project for us, Next Gen Movement, where weâll be able to offer a variety of sessions like these for the young people who need them most.
Sometimes mentoring doesnât look like talking. Sometimes it looks like putting on a pair of boxing gloves and movingđŞ
