If you’re someone who quickly pulls your hand out to tap your phone or scratch your face, this one’s for you ‼️

The gels go through a polymerisation process when curing under the UV/LED lamp that makes them go from soft to hard. If they don’t complete the required time, the top could look hard but the bottom remain soft which can lead to bacteria growth, contact dermatitis or premature lifting.

Thicker products like BIAB need to be cured on a ‘low heat mode’ which will cure the gel on a lower intensity for a longer period. This allows the UV to pe*****te through the surface layer to the lowest layers and cure from the bottom up without giving you heat spikes.

If you do experience heat spikes or need to pull your hand out quickly. Make sure you put it back in for the full amount of time. I have a countdown on my lamp which you can watch if you’re unsure 🙂
