Beauty treatments and the HEAT 🥵

Every year we seem to get a week where we have the heat wave I know it’s feeling hot 🥵 but if you wish to cancel because of the heat or you don’t feel up to it just let me know as soon as you can.

Some treatments hot stone massage I’m obviously not offering at the minute.

Waxing treatments stay out of the sun 🌞 if you can have a shower before, NO moisturiser on the skin before waxing, and wear loose clothing especially for the more intimate areas, the heat and tight clothing will rub and become sore.

IPL and some facial treatments again its safer to not be offering these because of the heat and being heat treatments and the skin being exposed to the sun.

Tans please please please wear loose clothing, again heat and tight clothing will rub meaning white marks!

Any questions I’m only a phone call away, I can edge of the side of caution with treatments so there way be some changes to your treatments but again just speak to me before if any questions.

I would say try to stay cool but that’s so difficult right now.

27 years as a Beauty Therapist, one of the OG (original) Beauty therapist!!

The beauty industry has definitely changed.

Suddenly everyone is a specialist but with very little specialist training! People are self taught because they have watched a YouTube video or done ab unaccredited quick course!

Like so many industries, Beauty is one that’s not regulated. Some training centres, beauty experts, beauty insurances, beauty organisations, try to regulate the industry and there is still some OG beauty therapist’s that stay true to training and the treatments they offer.

All the treatments I offer I can assure you, I have had the best training, whether that’s a refresher course or to enhance my knowledge further.

I don’t specialise in one treatment because the treatments all complement each other. How can you be a specialist of nails and not offer a basic manicure if you want a break from extensions, or because you just want normal nail polish because you just want a one off and don’t want to book an appointment for 4 days time because your back to work and can’t wear nails.

This isn’t about being a jack of all trades or just offering an add on treatment.

27 years of working from the bottom, working late nights, weekends and even working Christmas Eve and having to go back to work the day after Boxing Day. I still work late nights and Saturdays but Christmas is about my daughter and family, working flat out going above and beyond but now taking Christmas Eve and time out over Christmas.

27 years and taking that journey with my clients. From proms, wedding, pregnancy, births and so many highs and lows in life. Offering that space non judgemental and a space to talk and relax. Helping with confidence and self care.

Thank you 🫶 for all the support over that 27 years for every client. So many of my clients are my OG clients too. Even if it’s just a yearly holiday wax, weekly facials, monthly maintenance thank you because you have kept me busy and my job being a Beauty Therapist,, keeps me busy, my self care and my distraction from life. 🫶
