Today’s lip transformation 👄

This client’s main concern was that her top lip almost disappeared when she smiled.

Initially, we discussed treating the muscle responsible with a gummy smile treatment, but she was understandably a little wary of toxin and wanted to explore another option first.

So we worked with filler instead — carefully adding volume and support to the upper lip so it holds its presence much better when she smiles, while still keeping the result soft and natural.

This client is only in her early twenties, but with a very demanding job she’d started to notice her cheeks didn’t look quite as lifted as they once did.

She didn’t want anything drastic. She didn’t want to look “done”. She just wanted to look a bit more refreshed.

A small amount of cheek filler helped restore that subtle lift and support through the midface, while lip filler added a little softness and balance.

The difference these small tweaks can make to the whole face is honestly crazy — especially when everything is kept soft, natural and still completely you. 🤍

First time lip filler and what a transformation 😍

She came to me with very little natural lip volume at all, particularly through the top lip, so the goal was to actually create shape where there really wasn’t much to work with.

And that Cupid’s bow lift is unreal.

We’ve given the lips more presence, more structure and a much prettier shape while still keeping everything in proportion with her face.

If you’ve always felt like you “just don’t have lips”, this is exactly why a consultation matters.

This client started their lip filler journey with naturally very small lips and has gradually built them over a number of years.

With previous filler still present, there was some existing migration above the lip border — something we discussed openly before treating.

They currently use lip liner to overline the lips and help disguise that migration, and after talking through the option of dissolving and starting again, they were happy to proceed without doing this.

Their preference is a full, juicy lip, so we worked carefully with what was already there, adding more volume while also giving the top lip more shape and definition.

Not every client wants a full dissolve and reset — sometimes it comes down to having an honest conversation about the existing filler, the limitations, the options available and what result the client actually wants.

And this client wanted plump, juicy lips with a little more shape up top. 👄✨

A little structure can make such a difference.

After weight loss, the face can sometimes lose some of the support and shape it once had — particularly through the cheeks.

A small amount of carefully placed filler can help bring that structure back, creating a fresher, more balanced look without changing the face completely.

😫 GRAVITY AND THE FACE 😫

It’s not always ageing. Sometimes it’s gravity.

As we get older, the support underneath our skin changes.

We lose volume from areas like the cheeks and temples, our bone structure gradually changes and the tissues of the face begin to descend.

And gravity does what gravity does. 😅

That can show up as:

• Flatter or lower-looking cheeks
• Deeper nose-to-mouth lines
• Heaviness around the lower face
• Jowling
• A jawline that doesn’t look quite as sharp as it used to
• That general “why does my face look tired?” feeling

This is why I don’t look at facial filler as simply adding volume.

Used strategically, dermal filler can help replace some of that lost structural support — particularly through the cheeks, chin and jaw — helping to subtly lift and rebalance the face.

The aim isn’t a bigger, puffier face.

It’s putting support back where ageing has gradually taken it away.
