Here I have digitally designed the anterior 8-units in the upper arch to restore length, improve symmetry and brighten the smile prior to this patients wedding n 2025.

It has been such a rewarding case to undertake and I am honoured to have been able to help.

Single tooth transformation

This lovely outcome attained for a wonderful patient was achieved via internal whitening over several weeks, crack dissection and composite bonding.

The third cross-polarised image shows the extent of the cracks we have had to deal with here. Suffering trauma at a younger age, the UL1 lost its vitality and was root treated and followed up with internal whitening.

The tooth suffered relapse and staining and I was face with the challenge of trying to mimic the adjacent incisors translucency also whilst masking the cracks.

Hopefully this provides a more minimal intervention and does not exhaust the more invasive options such as a ceramic veneer which may well be required in the years to come.

Such a tricky case presented here.

Not only did this involve rearranging the tooth proportions and improved by the smile, but trying to mask an extremely dark root and replace historic posts in the maxillary left central and lateral incisors.

New high opacity monolithic zirconia crowns were provided for the UL12 teeth and I have treated the caries in the UL3, UR1, UR2 and UR3 teeth - placing composite bonding to provide better proportions and shading.
