I love it when clients are happy. My main aim is to help people keep doing what they love, plus It's always good to get good feedback πŸ˜€.
As a sports massage therapist and running coach, feedback helps massively (good or bad). It helps me learn and adapt if needed.

It looks like there was lots of 'bolting' around Treeton last night at the Treeton Bolt trail race! 3 runners who I coach all had great runs there, with Fiona and Andy winning their age group and Neil 2nd in his age group. Well done, guys. Also, well done to my Thursday night regulars and Striders teammates as well, great results all round. Shout out to Darrel for winning his age category a few days after his adventure in Snowdonia πŸ’ͺ.

I need of, a sports massage, I've slots free next week. Booking link in the bio, just find my name 😊.

Newark half photos. Running is not flattering and pocket bulge doesn't help with this 🀣. The finish photo actually made me lol, it must be a funny angle, we can't all be leaning that far back and it actually looks like Andy Hinchliffe shoved me out the way 🀣.

A last-minute decision to do Newark half marathon, I signed up Friday night after a couple of discussions about races.
In the build to Valencia marathon, I'm on a mission to get used to running faster and on tarmac. So, I used this as a time trial to see where I'm at, I had 1:45 in mind and I thought it would be fun to pace my runner, Andy, who I set to run the race at marathon pace, 4:56/km without knowing if I could actually hold the pace . We did it, and he obviously finished feeling stronger than me. Well done, Andy.
It would be nice to get down to 1:40ish before the marathon but not essential as I always do better at longer distances. More work to be done, and I'm excited about this 🀩 .
Any recommendations for a flat half towards the end of September/beginning of October?

Now for a bit of recovery πŸ˜€.

A big shout out to all my runners and clients for not only racing in what feels like the hottest summer ever but for getting the sessions and time trials done. I know you've found it hard sometimes, and for some of you, it seems your harder sessions always fall on the hottest day of the week!
I'm proud of you all and how determined you all are 🀩.

This extends to my Thursday night crew. It's been a tough summer, and our Mile time trial just happened to fall on the hottest day of the year. However, it was a fun evening joining forces with Hillsborough and Rivelin running club for a bit of friendly competition , with plenty of mile PBs πŸ’ͺ.

Now I'm back from my holiday (I'll do a separate post about that), I have upped my availability for the rest of the Summer and can take on a few more runners for coaching πŸ˜€.

Booking link for Sports massage and shockwave therapy is in the bio.

It was great to do the Pen*stone Boundary run for the 4th time. This time with Jemma Burgin and Laura Fletcher .
It was a really fun morning out and was good to see Laura enjoying running again and feeling strong on her longest run in a while! Covering 25 kilometres with nearly 600 metres of elevation on some tough trails in hot conditions is no easy feat πŸ’ͺ.

It's always exciting when someone you coach gets a PB. Actually, it's more exciting than my own PBs!
Well done to Isla for taking over 2 minutes off her 5k PB that she set at parkrun 6 weeks ago and doing it on a training run. Sub 30 done, bring on the Sheff 10k!
So proud of your hard work, Isla πŸ‘.

I love trail running but draw the line at 'paths' like this! πŸ˜‚. It's a good job average pace wasn't on the cards today, it's all about effort (and survival)!
