Running a business is not for the weak-hearted. It might look like I just wax all day 😂 but there is SO much that goes on behind the scenes.
Admin, content, planning, training, building, keeping the salon running… honestly, there’s too much to cram into a 15-second video, but you get the gist. 😅
But one thing I’m learning is that it can’t be work, work, work all the time.
I can be a business owner and still show up as a mum.
I can work hard and still go out and have fun.
And I can still just be Latoya- the girl who loves her R&B, loves to dance and needs a good night out every now and then. 😂💃🏾

This weekend: overtime in the salon. Oh and a lie in sunday morning 💤

Her first ever wax… and a 10/10 experience. 🥹
We know how nerve wracking that first appointment can feel, so hearing that her nerves were put at ease straight away means everything.

This made me smile SO much.
One of my lovely clients sent me this photo of her Glow Collection growing at home. She absolutely loves the products, raves about them, and has proudly given them their own little spot in her bathroom. 🥹
She hasn’t quite got the full collection yet… but judging by this, we’re getting there 😂👀
There’s something so special about creating products for my clients and then seeing them actually being used, loved and repurchased outside of the salon.

“What if she judges my body?” 😩

So here’s your reminder…there is NOTHING about your body is going to shock us.
Hair growth, pigmentation, stretch marks, scars, body shape, sweating… all completely normal, and absolutely nothing you need to apologise for or feel embarrassed about.
Our job is never to judge your body. It’s to make you feel comfortable, looked after and leave wondering why you were ever nervous in the first place.
Your first wax might feel like a big deal to you… but to us, it’s just another body doing completely normal body things.
