The question you almost asked.
The worry you kept to yourself.
The conversation you didn’t know how to begin.
Some things are too important to leave unspoken. 💙
Autism Unspoken: The Conversations We Avoid brings together expert insight, lived experience and honest discussion about the subjects that deserve more understanding.
Puberty. Relationships. Boundaries. The everyday realities that can be difficult to talk about, but matter deeply.
Whether you’re an autistic adult, a parent, a carer or a professional, you’re welcome to listen, learn and connect. You don’t need the perfect words to take part.

Some conversations are uncomfortable, but avoiding them helps no one.
That’s why Autism Union is proud to present Autism Unspoken: The Conversations We Avoid, an online conference opening up honest, supportive, and necessary discussions around autism.
Across three sessions, we’ll explore issues that are often left unspoken, including preventing exploitation, f***l smearing advice, and gambling, alongside other important topics affecting autistic people, their families, and caregivers.
These are conversations people deserve to have without shame or judgment. A chance to ask questions, hear different perspectives, and feel less alone.
Real people. Real conversations. Real change.

You don’t have to find the right words on your own.
Talking about puberty. Explaining privacy and boundaries. Knowing what to say when a young person is struggling with how they feel about themselves.
These conversations can be difficult to start. Having somewhere to ask questions can make a difference.
Autism Union presents AUTISM UNSPOKEN: The Conversations We Avoid.
Join our online series exploring puberty, relationships, identity and emotional wellbeing through honest discussion, shared experiences and practical approaches to support.
For autistic adults, parents, carers and professionals, this is an opportunity to explore the questions that everyday conversations often leave unanswered.
You don’t need to have it all worked out before you join us.

You can love your child with everything you have and still need help. You can celebrate their individuality, treasure the joy they bring and still find yourself facing questions you don’t know how to answer.
Admitting that doesn’t make you a bad parent. It makes you someone who needs support, too.
This poem opens a conversation we need to keep having. What happens when puberty arrives? How do we talk about ma********on, boundaries and privacy without shame? Where do we turn when our child’s words leave us frightened for their safety?
We need to make room for these conversations—not leave families to navigate them alone.
That’s why Autism Union is bringing you Autism Unspoken: The Conversations We Avoid, an online conference for open, honest and supportive discussions about puberty, ma********on and su***de.
Whether you’re autistic, a parent, a carer or a professional, join the conversation. Let’s listen to experiences beyond our own, ask the difficult questions and work towards better understanding and support.
