Twenty years ago I started in a single treatment room. This month, Glam & Glow Beauty Lab has been shortlisted for Best Beauty Business at the 2026 UK Small Business Awards, and featured in The SBA Magazine alongside the other finalists.

I built this clinic on a belief that’s shaped everything I do: that real results come from treating the whole person, not just the symptom in front of you. That’s as true for a facial as it is for chronic pain or a nervous system that’s been running on overdrive for years. It’s a slower, more deliberate way to work and it’s the only one I’ve ever been interested in.

Recognition like this isn’t the reason I do the work. But it’s a good marker of what’s possible when you stay stubborn about doing things properly, one client at a time, for two decades.

Less than three years ago, I opened the doors of Glam and Glow Beauty Lab with one conviction: that clinical excellence and genuine human care are not in opposition, they are inseparable.

Thirteens accolades and eight awards later, that conviction has been validated by the industry, by our community, and most importantly, by every client who has trusted me with their wellbeing.

I have just been featured in WarwickshireWorld, marking our latest recognition as a finalist in the UK Small Business Awards Best Beauty Business category, following the greater birmingham chambers of commerce Solihull Customer Commitment Award 2026.

Recognition matters. But what drives this practice every single day is something quieter, the standard we hold ourselves to when no one is watching.
