Fight, flight or freeze — that’s the reality of life in survival mode for the animals of Ukraine. And because they can’t fight against missiles and drones, they usually try to escape or hide. russia’s attacks kill numerous animals. And many more get traumatized by explosions, both physically and mentally 💔 Ukrainians do their best to protect their beloved cats and dogs. When possible, they take them to bomb shelters, talk to them, hug them and wrap the blanket around them to help their nervous system calm down. No one should live like this. And while people can at least understand what exactly is going on, and fight back as soldiers, animals often end up depending on humans to survive the atrocities of war. russia is responsible for all these losses and suffering.
