As a consultant I get asked at least once a week ‘do you do shampoo bars as I’m trying to reduce my plastic use⁉️’

We are the first company to use this sort of scheme and have been commended for our alternative solution to a HUGE problem 👏🏻

♻️ No plastic is used for the ‘windows’ in our packaging
♻️ All cardboard used is not coated in plastic
♻️ Any ribbons are not coated in plastic
♻️ The wash bags with the body gift sets are 100% cotton and contain no plastic
♻️ Jute bags are 100% natural and handcrafted by community trade partners in India

Whilst a lot of big brands claim to not test on animals, they sell in countries where it is legal required for testing of products to be carried out on animals 😓

The body shop do not sell in any countries where this is a requirement, so we can say we are 100% against animal testing👏🏻

We at The Body Shop are proud to be 100% vegetarian, plus over half our products are vegan ✌🏻💚

Vegetarian-friendly beauty products are free of any animal-derived ingredients obtained as a result of animal slaughter😣

These products contain no animal-derived ingredients whatsoever 👏🏻

⁉️WHY AREN'T ALL OUR PRODUCTS VEGAN⁉️
We use honey or beeswax in a number of our non-vegan products for their superior cosmetic benefits and because they’re organic, wild harvested and sustainably sourced from our Community Trade partners🥰

A very small number of our products use lanolin, which is oil extracted from sheep’s wool. This process doesn’t harm the animals in any way 👍🏻

However, we have not created any new products using this ingredient for many years. Some of our products also contain ambrettolide, which may contain the resin of a lac bug, but this is sourced with no harm to the bug 🐞
